Hi Everybody!
For Art Journal Journey, post-postage I have made a mixed Media A3 page. I used one of my old documents for the background - not the original, just a scan, and collaged it onto a background painted with a mix of gesso and Titan buff paint to give it the same colour as the old document. I added some washi tape and a copy of an old letter, distressed with DI to match the vintage look. I stamped the ink bottle with quill, and collaged the girl sitting at her desk writing, and the little bird bringing her long awaited letter.
I am also linking to Simon Monday Challenge, anything goes.

ReplyDeleteIt's cute how the bird is bringing her a letter, looks like one of your jays! Nice and sunny summer photos.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, love the contrast between the vintage background and the pops of colour from the bird and stamps. Lovely photos, too, as always. Have a good start in the week, hugs, Sarah

ReplyDeletexxx Hazel.
What a beautiful page Valerie! Is this Alice? She looks a bot like her! I love it! xo
ReplyDeletePerhaps she is Alice's sister....
DeleteWas für eine tolle Seite, es passt alles hervorragend zusammen. Der Vogel sieht aus wie der Huckebein von W. Busch und das Mädel wie Alice. Gefällt mir sehr gut.
ReplyDeleteJust adorable! So much more vibrant with those pops of color! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh Val! I love this page and of course your photos! All very calming to look at!! Chrisxx
ReplyDeleteLetters . . . we use to write and receive them so your journal page today was extra special. I like everything you included and the background too. Lovely photos of a gorgeous day for your walk. We have had more rain. The morning starts out really nice and by evening the rain arrives. Have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
C
Your walk along the river was beautiful... the water looks so clean... our rivers here in the Midwest tend to be rather muddy and brown looking :(
ReplyDeleteLove your art today too.... oh for the days when we actually wrote and received letters ♥
For sure... this is my fav one so far..... absolutely in love with this one Valerie. But then.... as I type and think back over the others... it's still very close.... I love the others because they made me smile/laugh. ALL ARE FANTASTIC. j.
ReplyDeleteHi Valerie, love how you aged the new document in this detailed design. Gorgeous. Great pics too and the tree looks like it is the peace sign. Love the sky shots.
