Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!

It's weekend - enjoy!
We've got some good weather forecast for the next 2 days, but after that it will be getting more like autumn, so it will be time to get my warm pullovers and jackets out!

Recently, while clearing out my arty kitchen, I found several A3 journal pages which I had started and not finished. This one is now done, the others will follow. The background was painted and collaged with napkins. I rolled over it with my love-words roller-stamp and used stencils for the birds, people and the sentiment. I added washi tape around the edges and sewed over  it:

The following pics were taken in the early  mornings this week:

And these pics are from my walk this afternoon:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Colourful art and beautiful nature

Hi Everybody!

It's nearly weekend again, where did the week go? It just seems to have disappeared again. I have been making the most of the good weather and have walked a lot, met up with friends, had fun at Art Group and of course, I took lots of photos of everything I saw.

Today I am sharing an A2 (17" x 24") page I made recently at Art Group. I am still enjoying playing with geometric shapes and bright colours. After painting the page with gesso I used fluid acrylics to paint the circles and squares and an Edding pen to outline them and draw the lines:

Then I used a stencil to make the patterns and Mona.
(Mona is from Stencilry. Org)

Linking to Paint Party Friday

I will be turning this into another art tote.

And I have some more photos taken in the Botanical Gardens of The Heinrich-Heine-University and Südpark:

Have a great day, take care,

Mid week post - And the winner is.....

Hi Everybody!

It's the middle of the week already, time is flying again!
The weather here is cooler than it was at the weekend, but still good for walking. Today we had a cool start and then a mix of clouds, sun and a very gusty wind, so I had to hang onto my cap again this afternoon, or it would have landed in the Rhine!

Thanks to all who entered my little giveaway last week.  I wish I could send something to all who entered. I wrote the names and put the folded papers in one of my caps.

Then I asked a neighbour to pull a name without looking. The first one he pulled was YVONNE - congratulations!! She will be getting the promised tag-book.

Then, as I was enjoying myself I told him to pull another one. This time
it was CATY!! Congratulations! She will receive another little tag book showed recently.

And then one more wanted to come out of the hat, and this time it was
SUE the IRON!! Congratulations! I have another little altered journal for her.

And I will include a tag with each of them. Please let me have your names and postal addresses ASAP so that I can get your post off to you. You can contact me under  bastelmania(at)gmx.net

Yesterday evening the pigeons gathered in the tree behind the garden:

On Sunday I visited the Botanical Gardens of the Heinrich-Heine-University in Düsseldorf with Nelya. We had a fun time admiring - and sometimes sampling - the good things growing there:

Love this idea for collecting seeds:

Lots of wonderful veggies:

The teasels must have been 3 yards high:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
