Midweek Post

Hi Everybody!

Greetings from a very hot and humid Düsseldorf! Either we get frozen or we get baked, the weather is crazy!

For Wendy's tag on tag challenge at Tag Tuesday I have another entry:

On Sunday 2 friends collected me and then we drove through Düsseldorf to the south of town. After parking the car, we walked through the Urdenbacher Kämpe - a nature protection area - and enjoyed the beautiful fields, meadows, animals and birds we saw on our way.

Then we arrived at the Rhine and boarded the ferry to take us across to Zons, a small town from the middle ages:

The shield shows St Martin cutting his cloak in half for  a poor beggar:

On the other side we walked through the fields till we got to Zons:

This is a beautiful model of the town:

The gateway leads into the walled town, and inside the town we had to be masked:

The photos of our ice  creams and drinks are being saved for next Tuesday!
Time went by quickly, and it was time to cross the river again and then walk back to the car:

There's a wonderful video of Zons which you can see here.
It's just under 15 minutes and well worth watching.

And we walked about 10 kilometres all together, so that was good!
I will show more photos in my next post!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Tuesday Post

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all had a good weekend, and I wish you a great week, too! I had a great weekend, went out with 2 friends as we are now all vaccinated, and we went to Zons, and enjoyed ice sitting on a lovely patio - I will show the photos in the next days!

For Mia's challenge at AJJ I have another journal page:

Blogger has once again reversed the order of the photos, sorry!

T sTands for Tag Tuesday and more

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend, and hope you have a great week.

This evening we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and this time our lovely and talented Wendy is hosting. Her theme is 'a tag on a tag ' and I'm looking forward to seeing what you create for it. Thanks, too, to Michele, who hosted our last challenge, and to all who joined us. As always you have 2 weeks to link to us, and tags of all formats are allowed. The challenge goes live at 9 this evening. I made a tag using mostly scraps. The flower fairy tag is part of a set I got years ago in a magazine - now I'm glad I didn't get rid of them!

This evening we will be celebrating T sTands for Tuesday at Elizabeth's blog. I would like to give a warm welcome to the lovely ladies of the T Gang who visit here. There's a lemon cake up for grabs, so help yourself:

And my drink is, of course, coffee:

This was taken in a museum, but I can't remember where:

And another mug of my favourite drink:

One of my mum's old china cups:

And this is a piece I made years ago which is still hanging on my kitchen cabinet door. The poem is from me::

The grass verges on the roads are allowed to grow wild, and are full of bee-friendly flowers:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
