Hi Everybody!
It's another warm and sunny day here, and I had my 2nd Covid Vaccination, so that made me happy. The organisation in the Vaccination centre was really first class, everybody was friendly and helpful, and I was in and out in less than 20 minutes! My neighbour Wolfgang insisted on driving me there and back, so all in all a good day!
Today is Elizabeth's 2nd on the 2nd, here we show things that have been shown on our blogs some time in the past.
The first piece is a mixed media, 18" x 18" canvas, and one of my faves .It was painted back in 2009:
Hi Val, good afternoon. Glad you got your 2nd jab today, well done! Love your beautiful art, as always, wonderful colours and designs. Have a great day, look after yourself, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, thanks. I was happy that it went so well with the vaccination! Have a great day, take care and hugs to all!
DeleteAs always, fascinating pieces.
ReplyDeleteI love that those folks take such good care of their horses. Unfortunately, not everyone does.
Hugs
Thanks Sandra. Everybody here really seems to take good care in their beautiful horses! Have a great day!
DeleteBeautiful art. I was so attracted to the horse photos great shots. Have a nice day today.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole, I always love watching the horses.
DeleteCongrats on your final vaccination today. I know you are happy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for once again joining Second on the 2nd. I fear it may have run its course, though. I remember and LOVE your Modigliani knockoffs. They are wonderful. I'm glad you brought them back.
The horses are so beautiful and they look so well groomed. Those tractors look like John Deere knockoffs. Thanks for sharing your Modigliani knockoffs and your photos of the horses and tractors with us as a second look today, dear Valerie.
Thanks, Elizabeth, I had to wait a long time but now it's done! But I am stAying very cautious. Pity not so many people join in 22nd on the 2nd, it's fun. Have a great day!
DeleteI remember the first time I saw a horse in a coat. I was very impressed :) It rarely seems to get cold enough for that when I'm out where horses can be seen.
ReplyDeleteThese are well looked after creatures! Only the best!
DeleteWolfgang seems like a sterling fellow indeed and seems always willing to help you, Valerie. We should all have such neighbours. Miriam still has me toiling in the garden, sweating, heaving, humping, shovelling, planting, transplanting, spreading, moving ..... there is no end to it. I have dirt under my fingernails! Such a disgrace! I am glad to hear that your second vaccination was so well organized. Now you will feel that you have a shield around you when you are out and about. Your Modigliani knockoffs are very creative indeed. Many people can't even spell Modigliani and countless have never heard of him, yet you are able to manipulate his masterpieces and give new life to old forms. I think he would be pleased and perhaps even flattered. The horses look very comfy in their warm coats. Certainly they are not needed here. Right now it is a very pleasant 24 degrees. Maybe one day soon you will go into town and have one of those sundaes built for three! Hugs and kisses. David
ReplyDeleteWolfgang is indeed a very special neighbour and very helpful! I'm sorry that Queen Miriam let's you toil in the garden all day, under a hot sun, you poor thing! And you even have dirty hands! I am sure she will prepare some wonderful good and drink to counteract your flagging strength! Glad you like the Modiglianis, I had fun making them. Tomorrow is a public holiday here, so I will be enjoying a lazy day. Even lazier than usual! Take care, keep your strength 💪💪 up! Hugs to you both!
ReplyDeleteGreat art and photos as always Valerie. I like the photos with all the tractors and the horses are so gorgeous. Big congrats on getting your second vaccine, it's such a relief isn't it?! I hope you don't have any side effects. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks Martha, I hope all be well! Ist it indeed a relief!
DeleteWonderful art and photography Valerie!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you're fully vaccinated now.
Alison xx
Thanks Alison, I am happy that it's done!
DeleteGreat on your 2nd shot! Fabulous art pieces and the photos of life along the Rhine are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, I am happy!
DeleteI love all your art today Valerie, and the horses and the flowers. I recognise that stencil with all the squares, I have the big version of that which is probably what you are using if your page is 18 x 18. Hope the vaccine goes ok and you don't get any side effects, well done. Elle xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Elle. I used the large CWS stencil here, but I have the small one, too. Have a great day!
DeleteSo happy you've had your second inoculation. Is yours now a 3 week wait for it to be fully activated? Great art, love the moon shedding dust on the man with the brolly!
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb, we have to wait 2 weeks. That is one of my fave pieces. Have a great day!
Lieben Gruss Elke
Thanks Elke, Wahnsinn passt gut zu mir! Morgen ist Ruhetag angesagt! Bleib gesund!
DeleteBeautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, have a great week!
DeleteGlad to hear you got your second vaccine and so kind of Wolfgang to drive you there and back. Your mixed media piece makes me think of raining memories and the Modigliani portraits are so fun. The cold and wet doesn't seem to bother the horses. Of all your pictures, you captured a perfect wish.
ReplyDeleteThanks CJ, Wolfgang is a very good neighbour. Horses Just live in the present, I love watching them.
DeleteI like your mixed media piece and gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lin, have a great week!
DeleteI can see why the first is a favourite, the light that shines through the dark overlay sparkles like rain by the light of the moon. The horses are beautiful, lovely to see them all grazing. Sorry i'm later than intended today, I appear to have lost my readers list and it's only showing recent posts so i'm grateful for your midweek post. Please don't tell me blogger have got rid of that too.. grrrr!!
ReplyDeleteGood news about your second jab, glad you managed to catch a lift and I agree with you about being cautious.. feels like my middle name :))
You take care Hugs Tracey xx
Thanks Tracey. I'm sure being cautious is better than rushing things, possibly with serious consequences. The first painting hangs in my bedroom, and I like to see it everyday. Blogger is making lots of problems just now, with glitches which keep turning up here and there! Have a great week, stay safe, hugs!
DeleteI always love your second on the second. Your bowler guys and Modigiani knocks offs are among my favorites so it's good to see them more than once!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie, have a great week!
DeleteBeautiful artwork Valerie, my favorite is the first one, gorgeous textures! Great photos, the horses have plenty of green grass to eat.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Tammy
Thanks Tammy! The horses have wonderful pastures here, I love watching them!
DeleteHurrah for getting vaccine #2. How exciting! It will such a difference in your life. And nice to see those second looks. I remember the Modigliani's, but your older page is gorgeous and I didn't know you then. The Modigliani's are also beautiful. And it is nice to see the horses. I like their jackets. Hope you had a wonderful day. I had a long list of chores today so I am really late getting around to blogging. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika, I was really excited today, and happy that my neighbour accompanied me! I'm having a quiet day with no chores today, just reading and crafting! Say hello to the bees from me!
DeleteBeautiful art work Valerie, great horse photos. Good to hear you have had your second needle.
