Hi Everybody!
The weekend is over, and we enjoyed a cool and rainy day here, which was very refreshing after the hot days we have had recently.
Today I have another 'Royal' journal page for Art Journal Journey, post and postage.
I drew a caricature of the Queen, crowned her, and gave her a nice pink dress, and of course, her handbag. I added some stenciling and a stamp.
I am also linking to Kim Dellow's Friday Face Art.

Today I have some pics of the places I like to sit and watch the Rhine and the ships:
Later in the day the benches are all filled, I am usually there early in the morning. At lunchtime a lot of people sit there with a coffee and a sandwich and enjoy just watching the water flow by.
And the cormorant also likes sitting on his pole and
watching what's going on:
Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by.
This version of her Majesty is great! And how did you make those cool postage stamps? Very very clever! You have some great places to watch the river. Watching water is always really relaxing! Have a great day!

Very peaceful looking walk Valerie and nice that you get to go early and avoid the crowds We do the same along the seafront as it is packed at this time of year if you leave it until later.
ReplyDeleteI just love you 'Queen' pages they are an amazing likeness and you think of everything to add that makes it definitely her. Great stamps with the image added as well
Have a great day
Love Chrissie xx
Your caricature of the Mother Queen is fabulous, and I love the postal seals you used to embellish it. I also love the clever digital postage stamps you designed using the caricature you made. Blessings, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt that you are going to get a call soon from Her Majesty asking you to do an "unofficial" portrait. What a sweet little crown she has, is that her everyday crown?
ReplyDeleteThe postage stamps are so clever too.
What a great walk and river-watch you have. I always like the promenade with the benches, it loks so peaceful.
Yes, it's a working crown, especially made for weekdays.

ReplyDeleteGreat photos- what a nice way to relax! xo
Wow, loving those postage stamps you made, genius!! Such gorgeous photos today Valerie! You should know that after looking at your beautiful photos every morning for the last year, it has become very difficult for myself and my husband to find a new home. I have decided I want to live near the water in an interesting neighbourhood...those are a little hard to come by around here. Cross your fingers for me as I search and search, because I'm pretty dead set on it now! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteHach, wie cool ist das denn ?! Ich bin begeistert.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I saw the title, I knew what the subject would be....love it!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! What a fab make, I do love your caricatures so clever. Another fabulous link to Show Your Face, thank you and thank you for another shout out too. Kx
ReplyDeleteHa ha I love this, and I sure the Queen would aprove (well maybe not - the family does not seem to have a sense of humour) Love how you've given the bird a crown too xx
ReplyDeleteI love that you put her on a stamp! She is wonderful!
