Rusty Rose

Hi Everybody!
Happy Weekend!

For 99 Faces  and Kim's Show your face I made a face which I have called 'rusty rose', drawn onto patterned and stamped cardstock, and painted with water-colours in reduced colours.

For Art Journal Journey, collage, I turned her face into a collage. I made a
background with texture, flowers and some printed matter onto which I placed her head which I digitally removed from the first background. Then I added the skyline of  Düsseldorf and  the rusty rose which I photographed near here.

Some more photos from my walks; Everything looks better when the sun shines:

The heron flying over the river.

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by.

  6. I can't begin to imagine how your mind works, because I am in LOVE with the way you made the beautiful face into a collage. She is a genuine beauty, but with the rose in her hair, she's even more lovely.

Good to see the heron was being picked on today.

  13. Beautiful photos today and I love both versions of Rusty Rose. I love the items you added to the collage- they are a surprise from what I expected as I scrolled down the page. With the metallic rose on her forehead I didn't think cityscape. Art surprises are good, aren't they? Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

  21. STRANGE. I need to retype my comment. I wanted to tell you I like the effect of your drawn face on the stamped cardstock. It really sets off your drawing. I also enjoyed the photos on this bright sunny day. Do cruise ships ever get down the Rhine to Dusseldorf?

    Hugs,
