Hi Everybody!
Today we are starting a new challenge at
Anything goes.
All formats are allowed not just Moos, so hope to see lots of you linking up your creative artwork in the next 2 weeks.
I have an A3 journal page, also meant for Art Journal Journey, collage. On Friday a new challenge will be starting here, too, so be sure to check in to see what's going on!
The image in the centre is one that I found on my table when I was trying to clear it. I surrounded it with blue and metallic scraps which I found in one of my Christmas boxes. I added some gilding flakes, and painted the surrounds with blue metallic paint.
Yesterday was grey and overcast, but the water fowl seemed to enjoy it:
This morning dawned bright and sunny::
Have a great day you all, take care
and thanks a lot for coming by.
Best wishes for a Happy New Year. I have viewed your blog the last few days and loved every one of your creations. Today's post is also beautiful along with your photos. Family have left so I can start to get back to my normal routine and leave proper comments on my favorite blogs. It seems so unusual for you not to have snow and view the plants with flowers. It is mighty cold hear and gets below 10 degrees Fahrenheit or -6 Celsius. So enjoy your warmer temperatures.

Carolyn
The weather has been extremely mild till now, it's just starting to get colder though.
DeleteLovely collage today, I love the blue colours and sparkly bits. Have a great day, take care, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteBeautiful page, love the metallic blue it adds to the piece. Gorgeous sunrise today!
ReplyDeleteIt's simply amazing what the camera does to those metallic blue and gold scraps. They look so different with each view. The gilding flakes add that special finish to the "frame." This is lovely.
ReplyDeleteYesterday there were 118 911 calls (the equivalent to England's 999 emergency calls) that involved people slipping on the ice and needing medical attention. I know how they feel, since I nearly slipped and fell just getting the mail out of my mailbox. The ice was incredible, thick, and truly deadly. I was glad to see the water fowl weren't frozen in the water like they would have been in my area. Here's to nice weather for you on New Year's Eve and Day.
Brilliantly page with those gorgeous metallic, colours, awesome papers too.

Very beautiful page Valerie. I love the way you do the edges sometimes with the little scraps it adds so much to the page.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photographs and the weather looks to be nice again for you. Very high winds and heavy rain for us I'm afraid. Have ordered a taxi to go to the hospital so the weather must be bad lol
Love Chrissie xx
What a beautiful image Valerie, there's nothing better than losing yourself in a book! The weather here is mild too, but very wild and woolly! Think that may be a Scottish saying! Here's wishing you health and happiness in the new year. Xx

ReplyDeleteI am always frightened of what I might find on my table if I don't clear up occasionally!

What a lovely image to have stumbled upon ( was it under a huge pile of your stash Valerie?) I love the frame you have created - such a brilliant idea for leftover scraps.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos of skies but the birds look a little fed up - or maybe they over ate at Christmas and feeling out of sorts :)

Love the picture of the vintage gal - makes me want to read a historical novel with her on the cover - exactly as you fixed her up - with that gorgeous border. And wow - your orange skies.... soooooo lovely to see. What's the old addage... "Red at night - sailors delight. Red in morning - sailors warning" - somehow I always think of that when I see a sky so brilliant in the morning. j.

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely Exquisite! Valerie!! I just love the addition of the blue with the gilding! Is that silver gilt as well? Gorgeous dear friend! xo
ReplyDeleteLove that image - I usually read every day -- so hard to keep up with everything. I am into my fun light reading right now -- Victorian murder mysteries my Anne Perry. Sometime she is a little rambling but I do enjoy her.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of keeping up - it is hard to keep up with you!

I wonder why that is?
