A face, sky and water

Hi Everybody!

The week is speeding by again, and I ask myself once more
where my time goes....

For Art Journal Journey, collage, and 99 Faces I have a face with some collaged elements. The background is an A3 brush-wipe page, onto which I did some random background stamping. I drew a simple profile with black ink and coloured the face with turquoise water-colour to tone with the background. I collaged the sentiment, some washi tapes, a butterfly and some paper scraps, as well as the pen nibs, which are also made from paper.
I am also linking to Kim Dellow's Show your face.

This morning was cloudy and misty, and then the sun rose up and dispelled all the grey

This doggie went for a swim and dozens of ducks and geese took off squawking very indignantly

The stream which flows into the Rhine is full so the water is nice and wild

And once again the gulls are the stars of the show:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  4. Lovely face and quote to go with it today! It's great that the river is full and roaring now. The birds look smart all lined up like that. And don't you love the sun?

  5. As always, I am super impressed with your latest face. The butterfly was a great addition, too.

Your photos were great, with the dog in the water. It must be much warmer there than I somehow imagined. Have a super Thursday.

  15. Another pretty face collage today. The strips of text and pen quills make it special along with the butterfly. Your face is always delightful, Valerie. I laughed at the photo of the wet dog because it is raining here and I just let the dog back in the house and had to dry her off.

  17. A beautiful face again today. those words are lovely, very thought provoking. The gulls just have to be the greatest posers for the camera and I loved the wet dog, poor owner getting the fur dried.

  28. Probably my fav post this week Valerie. I really enjoy the artwork you did on this lady. I can't draw "just a simple face" that doesn't look like it came from a horror movie yet - maybe someday. You have such talent girl! Love the background and the way you painted her lips so vivid. It's all just perfectly wonderful to me. She's perfect! Also fun to see the doggie and how pretty is the rippling waters. Really loved this post!! j.

  29. Beautiful face.... and I love how you captured the actual cold in these photos!! I'm not sure if it's the series of photos, if it's the winter light, or just a few that pop out, but wow...I have never felt that before... Amazing work!!

    Hugs Giggles
