Tuesday Mix

Hi Everybody!

Today we are beginning a new challenge at TIOT - make us smile.
As always, projects of all formats are allowed and you have 2
weeks to link to us - hope to see you there!

I made a double page in my journal using a floral DP as background.
The ladies are sitting in their garden, stitching and bitching, and having fun.
The stamp is from Lost Coast Designs. I am also linking to Art Journal Journey, in my garden.

Our theme at Tag Tuesday today is cups and cutlery. As it is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, my tag fits there, too. It's the third anniversary of the challenge, so BIG congrats to Bluebeard and Elizabeth.
My drink is, as always, cappuccino:

I had a bumper week for happy mail. One of my envelopes was filled with goodies from Elizabeth - lovely, bright tissue papers, napkins, stamped cards, 2 stamps which will be great for TSFT and a gorgeous ATC:

I love the colours and stitching. THANKS Elizabeth, this was a great surprise:

These are the last pages for the swap I have been taking part in this year,
from Annette AKA Voodoo Vixen - Thanks for these lovely pages and for the gorgeous goodies!

The paper feathers on the right page are so lovely!

These goodies were in my packet:

And I love the stamping on the envelope:

We are enjoying sun just now:

This jazz musician was really good:

This time the ship has a huge advert for Uerige, a Düsseldorfer Beer.
I prefer coffee!

And we have a new 'attraction' on the little square between the beer garden and the café - a model of the town as it was in 1700, with the water symbolizing the Rhine, streams and moat which made the town to an island. On the left is a drinking water fountain:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  2. I'm thrilled that you are joining the 3rd anniversary for T. I'm also glad you like your gifts. I had a bunch of bird goodies I saved to send you and put them somewhere safe when I started sorting items from the basement. BUT, when I got ready to send them, I put them away so safe, they are nowhere to be found. One of these days I'll surely run across them again, though.

Your stitch and bitch is so adorable. I wish I had someone to join with to do the same.

Love the tag you made for Tag Tuesday and TSFT. Of course, the cappuccino would be my choice, too.

I was impressed with the new model of your town. I had no idea it was originally an island.

Annette makes lovely art, and I like those feathers, too. Her tag is incredible, and I see you got one of those, too.

Thanks for sharing these wonderful memories today and your lovely art and tea tag for T this soon to be Tuesday.

  13. What a great post! (as always) Such beautiful art. I love the goodies that you got in the post. And the tags are fab. I love the 'Stitch and Bitch'.
I love seeing photos of your city. "Dat leckere Droepke" sounds more Dutch than German.
I really liked seeing the maquette of Kaiserswerth. I didn't know it was fortified like that. Many towns in the Netherlands have the same configuration. And the drink fountain is a great feature. I hope you get many hot days to use it.
    Happy T-Day,
    Lisca

    1. 'Dat leckere Dröpke' is local slang, and is similar to Dutch, that's true!

The model of the town in 1700 is very cool and if your weather is like ours here today, that drinking fountain will come in very useful.

  35. Swaps are absolutely the most fun when the mail starts coming to your door. You must be ecstatic with the things you received. Your journal turned out great! I'm so old I'd forgotten theStitch 'n bitch expression. You created a page for it so cleverly. Your fairy tag is so cute and that piece with your face on the spoon in the cappuccino is really clever. Love all the bright watercolors you used. You are just so very talented. genie
