Hi Everybody!
It's weekend already - enjoy!
For Art Journal Journey, in my garden I have another hybrid piece, made up of a painted background and a rather ghastly what-should-have-been-a-flower painting, put together digitally with an added mask and quote:
This was the mixed media background:
And this the 10 minute painting, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh, perhaps I shouldn't try painting at 3 in the morning when I can't sleep!
This is the tag from Tag Tuesday, where our challenge was 'a row of houses':
And I just have some photos of the early morning to share, the others taken on my walk are still in the camera:
I love to stand on my balcony and capture the morning sun, it is something so special.
Have a great day, take care
and thanks a lot for coming by!
What a wonderful tag and beautiful photographs! I love the mixed media background and the foreground is fascinating.
ReplyDeleteA really gorgeous page Valerie and looks like serendipity struck as the dragonflies look beautiful on the flower. Great tag and lovely pics too.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend.
Fliss xx
I love this page, and the 2 paintings you used to make it. Fantastic photos, as always. Hugs Sarah
ReplyDeleteYou 'saved' the page! I love the mixed media background, those vivid colors and painting at 3 am? Wow!
ReplyDeleteLove your new heading Valerie ... Everyday madness! That made me smile! Beautiful sunrise pics but being up and about at 3 am is not ideal! Hope you sleep better tonight! Sweet dreams! Xx
ReplyDeleteEveryday madness sums up my life!
DeleteHa- i couldn't do something this nice at 3 in the morning that's for sure:) Love the dragonflies along with your super tag and beautiful scenic photos! Now, go and get some sleep....
ReplyDeleteI think those dragonflies really cover up the oops, and I think for 3AM it looks pretty good. And nice tag too. I hate when I'm awake at 3 AM, but for me getting up means by 5 AM I am ready to go back to bed for a good long sleep. If I can really open my eyes reading always knocks me out. I hope you have a great Saturday and aren't dragging all day- but some people often get up at that hour. I think from your sunrise photos you must be an early riser. But 3 is very early. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeletebeautiful sunrise photos, I love the tag! Not a bad page at that hour of the morning really.
ReplyDeleteI was taken by the background. I would give anything to make a background like that. And I can't draw anything, so the flower and dragonflies are super, especially when everything is put together.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the tag, and I'm singing that song, too. The row houses are great, but the man on the motorcycle really caught my eye.
I'm usually awake about 3 am, but sleep during the heat of the day. Thank goodness for air conditioning, or I wouldn't survive. Bet you sleep tonight! Have a great rest of your day, dear.
Love the page with the fantasy flowers and wonderful dragonflies.
ReplyDeleteGreat tag and like the way the tag is sideways--very unusual.
Terrific photographs and good on ya for going walking early in the morning while the air is still fresh and the places are quiet.
Have a great day
Love Chrissie xx
That page is gorgeous!! Love the colors you used! <3
ReplyDeleteGlorious sunrise, makes me wish I did not sleep in quite so long! Your journal page is a wonderful burst of colour and again that background the flower is glorious a match made in the magic of digital land. XOXO
ReplyDeleteBrilliant designs,the colours, full of vibrancy and cheer are gorgeous..xx{aNNie}
ReplyDeleteLovely hybrid page, the two pieces go wonderfully together! I think your flowers and dragonflies are super-duper. As for your tag, I love it! Is the sky line Canary Wharf? It is utterly spendid, I don't know how you fitted so much detail into such a small space, you have definately bought the hussle and bussle of London streets alive. The scooter is my fav! Wishing you a happy and relaxing Saturday! J :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, it's supposed to be Canary Wharf.
DeleteBeautiful page Valerie. Those dragonflies are so pretty and the background is amazing!! Your sky photos are just brilliant, love the amazing pics you always get of sunrise and sunset! hugs and happy weekend! :)
