Hi Everybody!
Another week has flown by, and it's time once again to post for
Paint Party Friday, hosted by Eva and Kristin, and for Art Journal Journey. Yvonne has been hosting for us this month, and has done a fantastic job, kudos!
I made a hybrid piece, using a small water-colour painting - one of my ten minute exercises - with some digital add ons and once again, my balcony blackbird has smuggled himself into the picture. The quote is from 'The secret Garden':
And here is another doodle from this week, made in my new journal. The background was brayered with some left-over pink paint. I don't know yet whether I will colour some parts of the pattern, still need to decide about that.
I love watching the morning sun fight its way through the clouds:
Some flowers from my walks:
This was growing by the tram rails:
I always enjoy the lovely houses and their gardens:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
This is a lovely post, Val. Glad I caught it before we go, we are bringing my Mum to Munich and coming back tomorrow. Your painting is beautiful, and love the doodles and flower photos. Have a good day yourself! Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteYour painting looks beautiful Valerie, with all the little animals and the sweet young girl. The pink colour behind the doodles looks lovely. I would be tempted not to add more colour, but if you did I'm sure it would look great.
ReplyDeleteSuper flower photos
Have a lovely day.
Yvonne xx
I love your beautiful painting Valerie and the doodled one is fabulous, I think it looks lovely as it is with the pink.
ReplyDeletexxx Hazel.
Beautiful hybrid piece Valerie, a wonderful garden scene.
ReplyDelete(I'm sad that I haven't seen any hedgehogs in our garden for about 4-6 weeks now, hopefully they are ok)
Love the doodled work too - would make great rubber stamps :)
Fab photos - love the houses and especially the brickwork and cobblestones.
Have a lovely day.. Gill xx
Your 10 minute watercolours are amazing. And also amazing what just a touch of colour adds to a doodle. Beautiful photos today.
ReplyDeleteYour little girls hair looks pretty neat after fighting with the wind ;-)
ReplyDeleteLove your painted flowers and your doodle pages too!
Happy Thursday liebe Valerie.

She combs her hair with super glue so it always stays tidy!
DeleteJust love the vibrant colours on the first piece and the amazing doodles and the pink.
ReplyDeleteFantastic photographs with the wonderful photographs
Love Chrissie xx
Beautiful artwork, love your flowers and the doodles. Cheers xxx
ReplyDeleteI wish my hair looked that good after fighting with the wind. She's a beauty, as are the birds. As always, the flowers are stunning.
ReplyDeleteThe doodles are incredible. I LOVE the dragonfly. It is so beautiful. The doodles look good without the added color. But I like simplistic spreads. After all, the doodles speak for themselves.
I am in awe of the way the owners of that first house have trained that arch. It is gorgeous.
Thanks for the glue tip. I've never tried binder with napkins because it's the only time I seem to ever use glue stick anymore. Have a lovely rest of today.
Forgot to mention I like the sailboat!
DeleteLove the colors in your journal page - and I really love garden statuary.
ReplyDeleteSandy xx

Wonderful page, I love those little hedgehogs! I think your doodles look great without colour, just the black against the colour of the background. Gorgeous flowers!
