Hi Everybody!
Today is Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so a big welcome to all the nice ladies of the T gang. I made a hybrid piece for Art Journal Journey, in my garden, which is perhaps not to be taken too seriously today. I combined a travel photo with some poppies I painted last week, and the statue of a girl, which I found in a castle I visited last year. I added the cup and saucer, and some digital add ons from Mischief circus. I hope you will all get your daily drinks without having to wait so long....

And I have a double mixed media page from my (old) new journal, also fitting to our garden theme at AJJ.
Last Friday the market place was very busy. It was the last day of school, and hundreds were celebrating with an ice bought from the café where I drink my coffee. The photo was taken at a quieter time, when there were not so many people in the way. My drink is, as always, coffee - what else?
Market day is always busy, too:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Love your fun page, that made me smile! And the other journal pages are lovely too, as are the photos. Time for bed here, so I'll say goodnight, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteI can see you had fun with your waiting collage and so nice to see your pretty poppies again too.
ReplyDeleteYour garden journal spread is very pretty.
The lettering looks extra nice too.
I used to take the time to do that kind of lettering.
Lovely and refreshing fountain at your market.
I see the sign warns it is not for drinking.
We were amazed that in Switzerland you could drink out of most of the public fountains.
We certainly would NEVER do that in Washington DC.
Happy T Day liebe Valerie oxo
Lovely pages for AJJ. Your coffee looks so good and I love markets of course.
ReplyDeleteYour hybrid piece is such fun, I'm still smiling! The garden page is so lovely, I love the look and feel with all those different images - you have definately made them fit together beautifully :-). You live in such a interesting place, the market and fountain are wonderful. Happy T day! J :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a sense of humor you have. Great journal spread about the different fragments of life.
ReplyDeleteAs always I enjoyed all of your pictures.
Sandy xx
Yes, your journal pages are great. The refreshment one is fun (love the dragon) and the life fragment quote is very good (as is the page).
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing your market. It's a lovely place for a coffee. I understand why you go there regularly.
Happy T-Day,.
Lisca
Fun hybrid piece with great ideas as always. The garden journal pages are fabulous too. Great job and a lovely fountain photo!! Hugs, Mar
ReplyDeleteI love how you incorporated the teacup! Fun!
ReplyDeleteI'm STILL laughing at waiting on my tea. It speaks to the service we sometimes don't get. But the fun part was it made me smile and that is exactly what I needed right now.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of your fragments collage, and really like the lettering, too. This is a wonderful collage entry, and I wish I could achieve that in my ICs.
I want to sit under one of those red umbrellas and drink a cup of coffee or cappuccino with you. It looks like it would be so much fun.
While Patty focused on not drinking water from the fountain, I kept thinking this was an X rated photo (GRIN). Again, something that made me laugh and take my mind off other things.
Thanks for sharing both art pieces and your coffee and cookie with us for T this Tuesday.
Yes, some places take ages to serve you. At 'my' little café I don't even need to say anything - when I go in and sit down, they bring me cappuccino! X rated - Elizabeth, where did you look!?
DeleteYour T Day page made me laugh! What a sense of humor you have. And I love your page for AJJ. You come up with the best quotes and then illustrate them so beautifully. And I also love your market day photos. Its fun to see life going on. I love in how parts of Europe how there is time for a coffee or tea break. Its the same here, but not. Those differences always make things interesting to see. Have a great T Day! Hugs-Erika

Brilliant journal pages, loved the first one, it made me smile and the garden spread is beautiful. Lovely market day photos.
ReplyDeletexxx Hazel.
Oh those poppies, beautiful! I laughed about the slow tea delivery. I swear I've been to places with service just like that. I enjoyed seeing the market and a bit of your town as well.
ReplyDeleteYour beverage collage made me smile...ha ha, so cute! and I adore your journal collage! Wonderful photos...so cool to see a fountain and statue in the town. happy T day!
ReplyDeleteI like that the market is set up 'round the fountain. I'll join you there for coffee and cookie any time :) Happy T Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteThat would be great!
DeleteYour art is always so right in with the themes and I love the little quirky tidbits you throw in on occasions ♥ I also love seeing life in your part of the world. Your old buildings and gardens. Thanks for sharing. ♥
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh what a wonderful and fun way to start my day. Your waiting for service piece is hilarious and still contains some of your beautiful art. I enjoyed the double spread journal
ReplyDeletepages too. It is a great quote for many situations. America needs to figure out out to work together for a peaceful relationship between police and citizens. I don't recall viewing the fountain in previous photos. Who is the strong hunk as the focal statue? I also like your summer header. Hugs,
C
Hi Valerie, Love your wonderful works of art using this week's theme. Waiting for service is awesome and I love the quote for the garden piece. So very true.
ReplyDeleteMarket days in your town look like fun. You have a great seat to people watch while drinking your coffee.
Thanks for sharing and also for stopping by and your kind comment for my new blog look. Have a great rest of the week. Happy Creating! xo
Hi again Valerie, I meant to say how I love your new header here and background. Beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteGreat bit of humor there. That's a long time to wait for coffee! xox
ReplyDeleteOh Valerie! Your first page made me giggle! We have been in places that have slow service - not this bad though! I love your fragments page - great quotes! I enjoyed seeing your photos! Schools here have varying break up dates - some have finished already -my GKs don't break up until a week on Friday! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteVery interesting post, Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteLovely spread in your art journal and I had to chuckle at your funny page with the skeleton. hugs, Teresa
ReplyDeleteWonderful artwork today Valerie. I admit that skeleton caught me off guard and made me giggle. Wonderful photos, that fountain is amazing in the square! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteYour hybrid garden piece made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteHappy T day...a day late!
