Hi Everybody!
It's been another hot and muggy day here.
It was too hot to cook so I've been eating fruit and salad, all cold and juicy!
For Art Journal Journey, in my garden there is - Yvonne's lovely and very popular theme, I am showing a spread from my 'old' new journal. I used a picture I cut out of the newspaper some time back, coloured the page with Gelatos to match and added the words.
This was the sky yesterday evening, very impressive!
I visited the horses again on my walk:
I always enjoy the flowers growing along the Rhine:
And I am wondering how the owner of this shoe, which was on a wall by the Basilica, got home:
Have a great day you all, take care, and stay safe -
this world keeps getting scarier and scarier!
Thanks a lot for coming by!
What a beautiful journal page! The clouds are gorgeous as are your the rest of your photographs. It's such a treat to see your posts.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I love that flip-flop, too! The mind boggles....Wonderful journal page, you know how I love lilacs. Great photos, and those clouds are spectacular. My mum is back home now. Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteBeautiful journal page Valerie, that poem is lovely, but so sad. It always makes me laugh when I see abandoned shoes, you really would think they would notice wouldn't you :-) Have a great week xx
ReplyDeleteA beautiful bowl of lilacs and romantic words to go with the page.
ReplyDeleteSuper photos and I wonder what the owner of the shoe might have been doing to loose a shoe. I can see a very sore foot when they got home
Yvonne xx
A page filled with lilacs makes me wish for the one I lost a few years ago. The poem is both lovely and poignant, and seems to fit the lilac image beautifully. I really liked the swirls you created.
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh at the shoe. It boggles the mind and makes for great conversation, too! Have a super Sunday.
Those clouds are gorgeous! What a great photo. And since lilacs are my favorite flower (or one of the top of a few favorites) I LOVE your page. Great quote too. Hope its a wonderful weekend. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteBeautiful page and a romantic quote! Your photos are so beautiful today. The horses look so healthy and happy. Stay cool Valerie!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your page, delightful in every way. What are the blue flowers do you know, they are beautiful.xx
ReplyDeleteThey are chicory flowers
DeleteLilacs are my fave flower, they make the house smell so good. I haven't seen any since I left IL. Thanks for the visit, it appears that I have to move to another apt. next week. So, I'm still sort of in limbo for the art blog. Thanks so much for the visit and the good wishes. One more move and I'll be able to settle in. (((hugs))) and Blessings, Janet
ReplyDeleteEine wunderbar romantische Seite Valerie und so schöne Aufnahmen - die Pferde sehen sehr zufrieden und glücklich aus.
ReplyDeleteHab einen schönen Sonntag!

Wie gemein!!!
DeleteA very beautiful spread and touching sentiments as well.
ReplyDeleteHello to the horses and also the terrific flowers you always find along the way.
Pity there wasn't a pair of the flip flops they look quite posh lol Still hot and sunny here with no sign of rain at all.
Have a good day
Love Chrissie xx
A lovely spread, the verse is very moving. Beautiful walk again must be different each and every time. Still dry but less muggy here now. XOXO
ReplyDeleteLovely lilacs and romantic pread Valerie.
ReplyDeletePretty flowers and a sad lonely flip flop..
if only it could talk (I nearly said walk, but then
that might be useful too )
Heat getting to me and can't think or write straight :)
Suppose to be cooler today but showing 34c outside at present :(
Enjoy your Sunday
Gill xx
Beautiful pages Valerie, I love the little verse too, very poetic. As always your pictures are so amazing. Hugs Rita xxxxx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous page Valerie and a very poignant verse. Glad to see the flowers aren't wilting in the heat. Wonderful photo of the evening sky and clouds.
ReplyDeleteAvril xx
Ohhhhhhh....LOVE the Lilac page ♥ They are so pretty and make the surrounding area smell so good. I need to plant some more around my place. ♥
ReplyDeleteHmmm ... one shoe too - that is curious!
ReplyDeleteCan you go up to the fence gate with a carrot for a horse? It would be fun to make friends with one.
Your flower pictures are fabulous as is the sky picture.
For some reason I did not know that you are so romantic - the lilacs are so gorgeous!
Sandy xx
I often take carrots or apples!
DeleteGorgeous page with a vintage feel. Taking a photo of that abandoned flip flop was a brilliant idea. Hugs, Teresa
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Lilacs are so romantic and with your sentiment you have made a perfect page! The clouds and colours in your sky photo are breathtaking. I bet the flip flop has a tale or two to tell! Wishing you a happy start to the week! J :-)

Cold food here too, lots of veg and fruit as well, we hit 95F on a couple days this week. UGH. Nice wild flowers along the river, we've the morning glories all over the back here, mostly just white. The vines are just masses. Nice to see those pretty lilacs. xox
ReplyDeleteWe all love lilacs, horses, flowers, and a flowing river. You created a perfect verse for this journal spread. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
C
Your beautiful lilac pages are filled with longing and beauty.
ReplyDeleteHE ran off so quickly he lost a flip flop ;-)
I am so drawn to your lovely Chicory.
I want to pull over in so many places and snap photos of the drifts of them along with the Queen Anne's Lace which so speak summer to me.

p.s. cool food sounds just perfect here too... sending cool thoughts and wishes your way liebe Valerie!
Wow! A new favorite of mine! Are those your words? I just love them!
ReplyDeletehugs,Jackie
Sabine
