Hi Everybody!
For Art Journal Journey, Journeys, I made a page with a vintage map of London as a background. I wanted to show it last week but put the photos into the wrong file again. Mr UM is enjoying a stroll around London, and is not used to the strange traffic there. The birds have no problems, they are free to fly as they will. And the stop sign is a reminder to stop and look around you when you are out walking, because the journey is the destination - enjoy!
The warm weather has been good for the flowers:
And the horses love it, too, but the one at the front evidently
does not like flies:
The sun and the clouds made a wonderful display again
in the early morning:
Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
I always love it when you use Mr UM, and this page is fantastic. Wonderful photos, those peonies are gorgeous. Hope you are feeling better, hugs Sarah
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous page Valerie and great pics especially the adorable chestnut horse.

Lovely colourful page Valerie and great pictures, flowers are stunning.
ReplyDeleteAvril xx
Lovely page and photos, the flowers are simply stunning!
ReplyDeleteI love Mr. Umbrella Man's trip to London. I bet he had a smashing time. And those roses are phenomenal. They are gorgeous. Mine are just getting leaves, and I discovered 3 of my bushes have died and I need to replace them. Have a wonderful Wednesday! Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at Mr. Umbrella Man because he and I would both have to be reminded to look left. Those Brits don't know which side of the street to drive on, thus the confusion (please don't throw your coffee at me, it's really a joke).
ReplyDeleteThose peonies are much lovelier than mine. Mine are mostly pale pink and white. The ones you photographed are gorgeous.
I can appreciate the horse not liking the flies. That's how I feel when the mosquitoes start buzzing around my head from all this rain that is standing everywhere.
Have a super day.
I would NEVER throw my good coffee at anybody! In the meantime I find it confusing, too, as I have got used to driving on the right!
DeleteTerrific page with great ideas. You never fail to amaze me.
ReplyDeleteThe photographs are so lovely and the roses in bloom already brightened my day--it is cold and dull here again with a hint of rain.
Hope you enjoy your day
Love Chrissie xx
Adore the umbrella man - associate him with London and well -- it's pure love for me. Great page, Valerie. The flower photos are spectacular. Love the horses as always - especially the portrait of the one bay horse - caught a great pose. hugs, Donna
ReplyDeleteBeautiful art this morning Valerie. I am in awe of your sky photos, you have the most spectacular sunrises!! Thanks again for all your help identifying my flowers, it's hard to look up "pink flower" on the internet and get a straight answer. tee hee. hugs :)
ReplyDeleteLove this, glorious colours and great creation..xx

Wundervoll ist die Seite und herrliche Aufnahmen sind das heute auch wieder!
ReplyDeleteSei lieb gegrüßt von Susi
Oh those roses must smell divine! They look just gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteGreat journal pages, love that guy you use- very versatile!!
Rain is superb and of course the pics are a special treat, Valerie!
ReplyDelete... ohne deinen Mann mit Schirm kannst du gar nicht mehr, oder!?
ReplyDeleteGrandiose Himmelfotos wieder, wow! LG Ulrike
Na ja, manche können weder mit noch ohne....
DeletePeonies and horses. Can life get any better?
ReplyDeleteI love maps for a background.
Have a great one, my friend.
Mr UM is quite the traveler. Terrific page because the journey is the destination.it would help if we all used the same measurements and drove on the same side of the street. It is hard coming from the US and driving on the right and concentrating to drive with the flow on the opposite side. The photos ofthe roses are gorgeous and the horses so well groomed and cared for. I enjoy my visit whenever I am able.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
C
Life is indeed a journey and a dizzy one at that. You have reminded me of what crossing the street in London is like. Habit dictates that I look to the left first, then I remember I have to look to my right. Still not trusting the traffic to my left, I look left again. Then I know I had better check to my right. Well this little dance goes on for a while until I am so dizzy my husband has to drag me across the street. Crossing a street in London is a journey!

I think you are a dizzy chick at the best of times, your comments always crack me up!
DeleteBeautiful pics and fabulous page, Valerie. I like the quote.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Teresa
I always love your sky-scapes, I still think they would make a wonderful exhibition (although setting up for an exhibition is such a faff).
ReplyDeleteYour AJJ page is so imaginative; the birds have it best for travelling in London, of course.
Love the map background on this one, a fun journey page and beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteA fabulous page, the map and all the details do make you want to journey, but for me not London. Only been a couple of times, the noise and bustle was over whelming.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos the flowers looked lovely.

Great art today Valerie! The quote is very good and I always like seeing Mr. Umbrella Man :) The flowers are beautiful and I always love seeing the horses. You always manage to get such spectacular sky photos ♥ See ya soon :)
ReplyDeleteThe journey certainly is the destination, I fully agree with you, another super piece, not to mention the beautiful pink roses and that striking sky, wow, gorgeous, thanks! Oh I love the horses too, what a beautiful walk you must have enjoyed!
ReplyDeleteOh why? oh why? have I not got Mr Umbrella Man yet - off for an internet search I think! This page is such fun! I love seeing those roses-I think we'll have to wait a while for ours! Hugs, Chrisx
