T sTands for This and ThaT

Hi Everybody!
A new week has started, let's see what it brings.

This evening we will be celebrating Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday drink & link party, so here a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang who visit here. I have some drinks to show you:

Thiss picture was taken last week in my kitchen, my first coffee of the day, yessssss!

And some of my creations:

This picture is hanging in the living room of a friend:

I painted a lot of these still life with coffee pictures a couple o years back, it was very relaxing:

Last week I joined in a 5 day retreat with Sue Young of Sujati Studio, and I enjoyed it. It helped take my mind off the awful happenings in the world just now - where and when will it end?

One of the pieces we made was this art muse, but I an calling her an angel of peace,  because we so need peace in our world just now:

And some funnies and Thinkies:

Happy T Day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

  5. All the coffee photos shared here makes me yearn for a cup right now. I agree, the world needs more peace and I love the angel. That rear-ended witch just cracked me up, so thanks for the emotional roller coaster of fun and thoughts through your postings today. Have a great week ahead.

  6. It is very appropriate, Valerie my Dear, that I look at your post now, since I am just beginning to sip on my first coffee of the day. My mug has a picture of a Sulphur-crested Cockatoo emblazoned on it so I can go birding while I sit here! I am sure your art classes were therapeutic but to wonder when the troubles that beset the world today will end is to wonder about the meaning of infinity. The short answer is that they will not end. At best there may be a hiatus where malevolent, evil people take time to regather and start their destructive activities all over again. Such is the eternal and immutable nature of man. The picture of the rear-ended witch made me laugh and think of people who deserve to be rear-ended in this way. Next month I will be heading off to Cuba again, taking with me a group of merry birders, one of whom is coming all the way from Australia. I can assure you we will not be flying there on broomsticks! Hugs and kisses - David

    1. I know the troubles won't end so quickly, ad that it could all develop into something much worse, but I need to focus my thoughts on peace to get through this debacle. I haven't heard anthing from any of my family or friends there and I am worried.
I think Cuba is a bit far for a broomstick, unless it's a well motorised one....I'm sure you will all have a great time again. Australia is really a log way off, shows how popular your walks are! And yes, I know of many people I would like o see rear ended or worse! Take care David, have a great day, hugs, Valerie

  7. Thinking of peace is tempting but deep down inside I fear that it’s an act of futility, and that the illusion of peace being near us was nothing else but illusory. However, at this moment, I will settle for coffee and trying to think of something else.

  8. Your post reminds me of my elderly neighbor, Prissy. She always invited me over for "coffee" even though I always had tea. I love how you labeled the tea cup. I miss the old girl. Thanks for the memory and Happy T Day

  15. I agree with Kate. It's so nice to see all your coffee still lifes. Art is a good thing for the soul, especially when things aren't perfect. I'm sure you agree. And nice coffee cups for T day. The world is too scary right now with too much hate. Why? because people some one is different from them? Anyhow, I hope you have a lovely T day, and it sounds like you had a great day reading in bed. That is always a good thing, isn't it? Hugs-Erika
