T sTands for Tuesday on Monday

Hi Everybody!

This evening we will start celebrating Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday, our weekly drink link, so here a warm welcome to the nice ladies of the T Gang.

But first I have another piece for Neet's In Gear challenge at AJJ. I used an old tag with some additions to make the page:

Today I have various drink pictures, enjoy!

Have a happy T day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. In case I forget to say it, let me stay right away that I love the picture of the Japanese lady with the tea. Both she and the picture are absolutely gorgeous. Exceptional would be the word. Having said that, I noticed all these drinks, mainly tea in various manifestations and coffee, with the odd glass of something else, probably non-alcoholic beer, but not a glass of wine in sight. Not even an empty bottle with an appealing label. Nothing, nicht, nada, rien, zippo, zilch. The liquid that was the cause of the first miracle, the elixir of life since time immemorial, in every culture and civilization, a potion for the soul, an essential dietary component for David. You realize I hope, Valerie dear, that this omission has the potential to affect our entire relationship. He’ll hath no fury like a wine-lover scorned. I have raised my my glass in a toast to you many a time, with Miriam clinking glasses right alongside me, joining in the heartfelt good wishes. This may come to an end, I fear. No more, “Here’s to Valerie.” Sometimes we have even added Heike to the toast, but she may be excused since she has not, (as far as I know), been involved in this affront to wine lovers everywhere. There are some sins that are simply not forgivable, and this may be one of them. I shall take my solace in a fine Malbec that is right now breathing on the counter. It’s the right thing to do. I thought not to send you hugs and kisses, but I can’t bring myself to do that. Reluctant hugs and kisses - David

    2. Maybe my post this week will make up this gap: I included a photo of wine bottles at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello. Love of wine was part of his life (which by the way, is full of contradictions between advocating the rights of man and depriving slaves of any rights at all). Jefferson experimented with both native North American grape varieties and also European ones.

  6. That is a great page Valerie. It has some nice sparkle to it. And I like how you recycle your tag, because that is a great tag too. And that's a nice T day photo collection. I didn't know about all those teas from around the world either. Some I did, , but not every one. Although I must say I'm not a sweet tea fan-too sweet. Talk about cards-ha ha. Have a lovely start to the new week and T day also. hugs-Erika

    1. Thanks Erika. Sweet tea sounds even worse than normal tea! I do drink a cup of tea sometimes, but don't tell, it would destroy my coffee reputation!!

  8. A wonderful page Valerie! Great photos too, lovely to see one of you.
I was interested to read about bubble tea on the drinks from around the world picture. A bubble tea cafe has opened up near where I live, and I wondered what it was.
Hope you have a good week.

  9. Fun tag. They way the gears and things are lined up makes me think ideas are being put into the gentleman's head. So many different teas. I like the English way the best. Especially the part about cookies. Happy T Day

  11. David's comment cracked me up, as a fellow wine lover (nope to coffee for me, fine for tea, beer? Sure!). But I love it when you and Heike (or anyone) hit the restaurants or coffee shops and how your posts make me feel like I'm with you! I love it!

    1. Yes, his comment made me laugh, it was really neat. I like wine but mustn't drink any alcohol because of the tablets I have to take. Poor Heike slipped on her stairs yesterday and has a row of black and blue toes, it must be very painful. But sooner or later we will be out eating again! Have a great day, hugs!

  13. Oops, I got stuck at the photographs with all the bread and cakes - my weaknesses (well two of many). Love the photos and I take it one is of you? Great funnies, I hope our garden squirrels never learn to do bargaining with me. They'd win!
I think the young man, very good looking young man, in your journal page is a young doctor. Just a feeling I have. He really is handsome in his bowler hat. I do like the hot air balloon, it works so well with all the other images - maybe the young man is waiting for his lady friend to take her on a ride in said balloon! I love everything about this page but I must say, apart from the balloon and young man, my favourite is the mechanical piece in the top right. On scrolling back I see those are the images on the tag - ok so I love the background equally, I really do.
Thanks for joining me again at AJJ Valerie, I always look forward to your work.
    Hugs, Neet xx

    1. I'm happy that you like it, thanks. Yes, fresh bread and rolls and cakes - who can resist? Bakeries are always very tempting and we have several of them, that's my fate! Glad you like my repurposed tag - journal page, I like re-creating! I went on a balloon ride once, never again, the view were wonderful, but I was terrified! Have a great, new week, Neet, take care, hugs!

  17. There is always so much to smile about here however my next door neighbour didn't smile when the squirrels ate into the soffit andfascia boards of her house and began nesting in the roof, she doesn't feed them anymore. They can be very distructive little devils. Have a lovely week. Hugs Angela xXx

  21. What a wonderful steampunk inspired journal page. I like that you recycled a tag, too. It's an amazing entry and fits so well with Neet's theme at AJJ.

That squirrel humor is NOT funny for me. I was offline five days because of a squirrel and his chomping through my internet connection. It still isn't funny to me, but it will be one of these days, I'm sure.

Loved the teas from around the world. I had sweet tea once and once was enough. I'll take English Afternoon Tea with finger sandwiches, scones, and a dessert.

It was such fun seeing you drinking cappuccino and coke. Loved all the wonderful images you added, too. Thanks for sharing your incredible art, your humor, and your drinks with us for T this almost Tuesday, dear Valerie.

  27. I like your sparkly page for Neet's challenge. And that's a very interesting tea chart. I am currently drinking Matcha, Chai, Black and regular Green teas (not all together ha) during the day. I do drink a lot of tea. No sweet tea and that's a southern US thing. I've never liked it unless I'm just craving sugar because it's usually LOADED with it. I actually like iced tea with just some fresh lemon! Have a good week and take care, xoxo

Lovely page, that tag and how you incorporated it in the page is fantastic.
All the beautiful bakeries with that big selection of delicious bread - how I miss German breads and little cafés where you can sit and enjoy a lovely cup of coffee - or Eiskaffee like in your photo. Oh yum!!! Happy T Day, my friend.
