Stars and some creatures of the deeps

Hi Everybody!

Today I am sharing a tag meant for Simon Monday Challenge
Star light star bright. The background is some icy,
silver card I found in my stash. I tore small pieces of
blue, painted paper and doilies any layered them
to make the foreground. I sewed it all together.
The trees were made with a hero arts die and the deer
with a Martha Stewart punch. The metallic stars
are from my stash.

I used star-dust stickles to add some sparkle:

And now for the last photos from the Aquazoo:

I loved watching these creatures of the deep:

The lobster has a beautiful colour:

 The octopus was really cool:

I was standing looking into this aquarium, and couldn't see
anything. Then the crocodile swam over and started
looking at me - I'm very glad there was glass between us:

More beautiful fossils:

Have a great day take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by

  2. Hi Val, what a coincidence, a tag that looks just like this one arrived in my letter-box a few minutes back! Thanks a lot, the kids were thrilled, also with the accompanying sweeties! Great pictures from the aquazoo, too, that crocodile looks like it's hungry just looking at you! Have a nice day, hugs, Sarah

  5. I love what you did with the doily on your tag Valerie. Using it for snow and the sun is really clever! It's a gorgeous wintery tag-it looks cold and like December. And i think octopi are really fascinating. Yours look like he was moving around. When I've seen them they are usually tucked away in a corner hiding. I read a book about them once which explained how smart they were, but they don't live very long-like only 2-3 years. I think the book was called the soul of the octopus. Thanks for the other views from the aquazoo. Hugs-Erika

  8. The tag is gorgeous! It would make a beautiful Christmas card. Blue lobsters are rare. Whenever a lobsterman catches one, it ends up on the news before its put back in the water. I've never seen a blue turtle. Pretty cool. Maybe the crocodile was just saying, I'm ready for my close-up. (-; Have a Happy Day!

  9. I LOVE that tag. It's a wonderful tag, and I love the trees. I couldn't believe the deer were from a punch.

Fantastic photos, especially the penguin. That alligator was pretty spooky, but I was glad it was behind glass, too. Truly incredible photos, again.

  17. 800,000 people may live in Düsseldorf, but I don't know too many who read my blog and love birds (grin).
