Hi Everybody!
For Paint Party Friday I have an A3 journal page,
'autumn moving towards winter'
The BG was painted with toned gesso, and then stenciled.
For the sunflowers I used gold, and for the gears and cogs,
which represent the transition to cold and dark winter,
black. The birds are flying away to avoid the coming
season - I wish I could do the same!
And I am sharing more photos from the woods and lakes I
visited this week with G and H:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Love the patterns with the pop of color for the flowers, very cool indeed!
ReplyDeleteThe combination of sunflowers and black cogs, gears and spots is very effective, a great idea, and shows the idea of autumn to winter really well. Wonderful photos, too, that's a place I've added to my bucket list! Have a nice day, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteSuper journal page
ReplyDeleteI like the symbolism between autumn and winter in your latest piece of art. I like it and it was unusual to see your art with no words attached.
ReplyDeleteReally FABULOUS photos today. They truly7 show that autumn arrived at your area and created some incredibly blazing colors.
Wonderful transition page, love the contrast between the background and focal flowers! Perfect for the theme you chose!
ReplyDeleteFantastic photos today too, wow, Autumn really is an amazing artist in your area!

As always, your artwork is both clever and creative, but your photographs simply blow me away. (So to speak...I'm actually still HERE.) Your pictures are so vivid and beautifully composed. Almost 3-D like in their realism. You should be featured in an art gallery!
ReplyDeleteHave a super weekend.
Your transition from autumn to winter piece is lovely, and sure works in my world today. The wind is whipping, the temperature is dropping during the daylight and we even had a few snowflakes a few minutes ago. Brrr. You walk photos look lovely too. Lucky you to escape to the forests and quiet for a bit. For me, that is the best way to restore my being. Happy Friday! Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeletea wonderful autumnal page and of course I LOVE the scenery of your visit to the lakes and woods, so beautiful. Happy PPF!
ReplyDeletePretty autumn page. I want to be with the birds and flying to warmer places. Your Autumn is a lot more vivid than what we've had here. Wet Spring, hot Summer and Fall produced dull colors here. I love the vivid blue sky refelcted in the water. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeletelove your stunning autumn winter photos ;O))) page you made in fall colours are great to ;O))

Your journal page reminds me of a block printed piece of fabric. A beautiful scene in bold colors. It is so beautiful!
