Music and rust

Hi Everybody!

For Tag Tuesday I have another hybrid tag. The
background is a photo taken here looking along
 the Rhine. The other elements
were added digitally. The quote, is, of course,
from Shakespeare:

At the old steel-works in Duisburg I was wondering
what was interesting about this dark passage,
until I went it:

You can look through windows right and left and see
down into the old works. An old black and white film
shows scenes from the time when it was being
worked, and the rest is illumined by lights in bright
blue, red and green. It was rather spooky and very surreal:

Outside it seemed very grey after all the bright colours:

Spiders still seem to live there:

I loved the rusty, old machines, I'm sure Elizabeth
will love them, too!

And the old gasometer is now used as an indoor and
inland diver's paradise - you can read more about it
and see wonderful photos here:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  3. Love the tag, with your photo in the background, I know how you love 'your' Rhine. The photos from Duisburg are really exciting today, like modern, arty stained glass windows, just fabulous. I am determined to go there soon, and if P knows about the diving, I can probably persuade him! Have a nice day, and get plenty of rest. Hugs, Sarah

  6. Really nice artwork today Valerie. Your photo makes a great background for the musical images. The sun really acts like a sparkle of magic. And that industrial park is really a smart way to utilize old industrial areas. The inland diving area was cool, and I love the colors. I think it was a smart way to show what the area used to be. Thanks for sharing. :) Hugs-Erika

  7. Your photo makes a great backdrop to your tag. The colored lights inside the steelworks looks very sci-fi. Almost expect robots or androids to appear. Have a good day!

  8. Looks like you maxed out your visit to Duisburg. That was a fascinating display in the tunnel -- nice that they had the vintage movie. Adds to understanding the "all" of it.

  11. That's a wonderful tag. I always love music, so I will find time to play along soon, even though my tag will never be as lovely as yours.

It was like a LIGHT SHOW in that tunnel. Yes, it did seem a bit surreal, but also incredibly informative, too.

My heart is still going pitter patter from all that rust and those old machines. They are simply out of this world beautiful. I could revisit this post until time freezes over, and never see or experience all the beauty from the light show and the rust. This is incredible!!!!!
