Mid Week Mix

Hi Everybody!

For Art Journal Journey, nature's wonders, I have a quick journal page
made with an altered photo and some silhouettes.

Watching the sun rise is a new wonder for me each and every day:

And this is the tag I made for Tag Tuesday this week, where our theme
is 'Celebrations' - I decided to celebrate life using one of Niki de Saint Phalle's Nanas:

This is one of her statues that stands in Hanover:

And here the 'daily wonder' from yesterday:

Have  a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  14. I love how you used that fabulous photo as the background for your figures! The tag is brilliant! Love the statue and I will be looking for some more of Nikki de st Phalles! Love your photos! Hugs, Chrisx

  15. I love your silhouettes. Are they doing yoga? But I'm with you, sunrise and sunset are natures wonders. And I think the Nana's are fabulous. I have never heard of Niki de Saint Phalles, but I love learning new things and about people. Hope your week is going well. Hugs-Erika

  16. I love what you did with the silhouettes and sun set. That is so cool. Cute tag too. hugs, Teresa

  17. I love what you've done with your photo and silhouette and the tag is fabulous. I wish we had lovely colourful statues where I lived.
    xxx Hazel.

  18. Beautiful photos and I love the art!!!

  19. Your gorgeous silhouette page would make the most lovely cards Valerie! Lovely photos and tag art too.

  20. Your post makes me want to celebrate too! What with your beautiful silhouette sun rise page, celebrating life tag and lovely photos. Thank you! J :-)

  21. Wow, your silhouette page is wonderful. I can feel the energy it exudes.

The tag using a stencil reminiscent of Niki de Saint Phalle is wonderful. Her curvaceous sculptures are known by sight, but the one you showed from Hanover is, in my opinion, abstract compared to most of her Nanas.

  22. Sunrise and sunset are each gifts we get every day for free...just for showing up!
Lovely silhouette page makes me think of the yoga "salute to the sun" posture.
Your tag is beautifully inspired and so full of life.

  23. Love this post Valerie - I think someone used me as a model for their sculpture!!
    Sandy xx
