Flowers, birds and ducks

Hi Everybody!

For Art Journal Journey, Gill's theme of 'Nature's wonders', I have a hybrid piece put together from 2 different paintings - a background and a flower painting which did not turn out very well. I digitally removed the flowers - they were supposed to be hollyhocks - from the background, added a filter which made them look much nicer, and the quote.
I am also linking to Paint Party Friday, hosted as always by Eva and Kristin.

And I have another doodle from my doodle journal,
showing the 8 crested, long legged worm-catcher, followed by the
crocodile toothed moose, who acts as his bodyguard

Today I met some living wonders of nature - a Mother Duck with 7 ducklings on the path by the castle ruins. It was almost impossible to get photos of the little ones as they would not stand still:

They were fascinated by my sneakers:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  3. A really beautiful piece created with your two artworks Valerie ( I bet the original painting that you weren't happy with was fabulous too).
Just as well you pointed out that the crocodile toothed moose is the bodyguard as I was about to shout out 'look behind you' :)
Oh the ducks are so cute - I think your 'body guard' could be employed to protect them too. Great photos - love the one where they are intrigued with your shoes :)
    Have a great day....Gill xx

  10. Very pretty page today and they look like hollyhocks to me. We do enjoy the new ducklings each year. Our native geese are back in the pond. Do you think they know the seasons better than we do? Nature is beautiful and I appreciate viewing the photos that bring you joy because they make my day better too.
    Hugs,

  22. Well, your flower turned out beautifully ... it was apparently a good idea to put the two together and digitally alter them. I love your doodles. I have done Zentangle in the past, but find I don't have the time ... but you certainly used your imagination on these. My mind wonders all over creating a story for a Long Legged Worm Catcher and and Crocodile toothed Moose ... what a hoot. Loved it all ...
