Hi Everybody!
For Art Journal Journey, Gill's theme of 'Nature's wonders', I have a hybrid piece put together from 2 different paintings - a background and a flower painting which did not turn out very well. I digitally removed the flowers - they were supposed to be hollyhocks - from the background, added a filter which made them look much nicer, and the quote.
I am also linking to Paint Party Friday, hosted as always by Eva and Kristin.
And I have another doodle from my doodle journal,
showing the 8 crested, long legged worm-catcher, followed by the
crocodile toothed moose, who acts as his bodyguard
Today I met some living wonders of nature - a Mother Duck with 7 ducklings on the path by the castle ruins. It was almost impossible to get photos of the little ones as they would not stand still:
They were fascinated by my sneakers:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Grossartige Arbeiten und Fotos Valerie! Gefällt mir sehr alles!
ReplyDeleteSchönen Donnerstag!

Praise all round today - love the floral piece, really beautifully done, and the doodle and story are fantastic. Great photos, too - perhaps your shoes smelt fishy when the ducklings were so attracted?! Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteHmm, perhaps more cheesy than fishy?
DeleteA really beautiful piece created with your two artworks Valerie ( I bet the original painting that you weren't happy with was fabulous too).
ReplyDeleteJust as well you pointed out that the crocodile toothed moose is the bodyguard as I was about to shout out 'look behind you' :)
Oh the ducks are so cute - I think your 'body guard' could be employed to protect them too. Great photos - love the one where they are intrigued with your shoes :)
Have a great day....Gill xx
Beautiful work today Valerie. Love the floral piece, it looks like a painting in a museum!! Oh I am so in love with your little duckling photos!! I just saw a few brand new ones myself lately, I was surprised to see new babies so late in the season. hugs :)
ReplyDeleteWie niedlich die Entenfamilie auf deinem Weg - man möchte die Kleinen am liebsten in die Hand nehmen, nicht wahr. Wow, welche Leuchtkraft auf deinem Petunienbild! LG Ulrike
ReplyDeleteThe hollyhock piece is lovely in the end! Enjoyed your doodles and cute photos today.
ReplyDeleteThose duckies are SOOOO cute. You were lucky mom let you close enough to photograph-unless you have an adjustable lens. Oh Valerie, those colors and your flower piece are amazing. That is just gorgeous! :) Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteShe hissed a bit at first, but when I just stood still she let them run around me, it was fun!
DeleteAren't those ducklings the cutest things? :) Today is duck day. Great minds, etc etc.
ReplyDeleteLove the hollyhocks with the blue background. Luscious.
Hopefully, next year for hollyhocks in the garden.......
Hugs
Love the floral art and then there is the DOODLES!!!! The DOODLES are amazing and love the descriptions of them ♥ Lovely photos, those ducks are so darn cute :)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty page today and they look like hollyhocks to me. We do enjoy the new ducklings each year. Our native geese are back in the pond. Do you think they know the seasons better than we do? Nature is beautiful and I appreciate viewing the photos that bring you joy because they make my day better too.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
C

Beautiful mixed media piece. Love the doodles and the humor. Cute duckies.
ReplyDeleteWonderful flowers, you did a great job, really love the bold colours and big shapes. Sweet doodles too. And what an adorable duck family!
ReplyDeleteWell, your flower turned out beautifully ... it was apparently a good idea to put the two together and digitally alter them. I love your doodles. I have done Zentangle in the past, but find I don't have the time ... but you certainly used your imagination on these. My mind wonders all over creating a story for a Long Legged Worm Catcher and and Crocodile toothed Moose ... what a hoot. Loved it all ...
