Hi Everybody!
Hope your day is going well!
For Art Journal Journey, inspired by autumn colours, I made another
hybrid journal page. The background has been collaged, painted and scanned.
The lady and the statue are both from June at Dezinaworld, and the curtain from Itkupilli. June showed a painting on her blog as inspiration for a challenge, and I digitally cut the lady out, turned her round, and placed her in the picture, so I am also linking to June's challenge.

Our theme at Tag Tuesday these week is 'secrets'.
My tag was distressed and stamped with DIs before using a stencil to write the quote from Benjamin Franklin. I love his black humour!
Today is also Elisabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so hello to all the T Gang.
Michelangelo's David is once again in the centre of interest. I wanted to invite him for coffee, but he turned up with his tea-egg and said he prefers tea. The coffee cup was digitally removed from one of my photos and placed on the hybrid page. The twigs and leaves are from Algeradesign. Anyway, help yourselves to coffee and Amarettinis!
I always enjoy the hour before sunrise, even though I sometimes wish I could sleep a bit longer.
I love the shadows on the wall when the sun shone through the window:
These huge and heavy chunks of masonry are still on the shore directly under the castle ruins where they have been for more than 2 centuries:
Autumn is still showing her colours, but most of the leaves are now on the ground.
Wonderful pieces, both of them, and love the photos. Hugs, Sarah

ReplyDeleteah ha I made it on time early today..
ReplyDeleteFabulous pieces Valerie - all of them put a smile on my face.
I was engrossed in the first one looking at the great clean extraction of your lady and then noticed the words and thought, why is she lost for words - ooops - not sure how I missed that leaf ha ha.
Love your tag too - not heard that quote before - that made me chuckle
Number 3 is cheeky - I had some questions about some objects, then thought better of asking ha ha :) and now having seen that lovely cup of coffee I am feeling very thirsty...
Loving the photos - I am seeing faces and animals in those great stone photos...
So I am going to have a cup of coffee and then go and make some art which I haven't had time lately for :( and have some fun :)
Have a lovely day.... Gill xx

ReplyDeleteHi Valerie! I always enjoy visiting your blog and seeing your amazing photographs! I love them all, but especially like the shadows on the wall that look spectacular! And your art work is so beautiful, as usual! The 3 works of art that you made are full of wonderful details, my friend. Thank you for sharing them with all of us! HUGS! Sharon

You came up with some stunning art today, Valerie. Your hybrid entry using David made me smile, but when he joined us for T, I laughed and laughed. This is fantastic. And of course, I simply adored the tag. Guess it's quite true and the skulls reminded me of sugar skulls used in Dia de los Muertos celebrations.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your art, making me laugh at David (and his leaf) while drinking coffee during T Stands For Tuesday.
Glad to hear it, laughter is the best medicine!
ReplyDeleteYou do really fun things with your digital art Valerie and so much of it too.
ReplyDeleteThat David gets around doesn't he!
I guess he can't resist showing off his leaf :-)
Thanks for making me smile this morning.
Happy T Day to you and David oxo
What a wonderful view you have! I imagine it's lovely any time of year :) Happy T Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteI love your "take" on June's challenge.......and the touch of fall color! It made me smile. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful art you have created for this week. Of course I had to stop laughing and go back for a second look at everything, good strategically placed leaf.....I might add....*grin* Your digital art just amazes me.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Ben Franklin's quotes, I guess I have a darker sided humor.
Thanks for stopping by for T-day this week. The mandala was fun to just sit and color.
So many beautiful photos - and your lady made me laugh! Happy T-Day!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the first piece... made me smile. The tag and quote are quite wonderful as well. And of course you know how much I enjoy your photography!!

Hello and Happy T Day! What beautiful art you made, creative too, wink!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the fall photos, always my favorite! Have a good week.
Thank you for so many stunning images! Where to start? I love the sunrise photos (I never get to see sunrise in real life: I don't do sunrises. I'm in bed) and I love the autumnal leaves as well as the masonry. There is so much beauty around us if we can be bothered to look.
ReplyDeleteYou art is beautiful as ever. I love the way you do hybrid. It is my wish to learn to do that. I'm in the process of buying a new computer and then I'll treat myself to a newer version of PSE (Photoshop Elements). The version I have is soooo old and the newer version won't play on my also very old computer (Windows Vista). Something to look forward to.
Thank you for sharing and thank you for visiting me earlier,
Happy T-day
Lisca

ReplyDeleteYour collages are always so seamless; everything belongs together. Thanks for the coffee & biscuit. You must be a favoured patron, we only get one each, if we're lucky, lol. Happy T Day Valerie :D

Haha, I like your use of an autumn oak leaf in place of a fig leaf. :)
ReplyDeleteI did not know that King David prefers tea over coffee. I'll have to remember that, in case I ever invite him to be my guest. :)

LG Ulrike
