Hi Everybody!
Today we are starting a new challenge at Art Journal Journey, and this time our lovely Erika is hosting and her theme is 'it's on the calendar'. But it doesn't have to be a calendar page or about calendars - it can also be about dates and numbers. Read Erika's description on our AJJ Blog or on Erika's blog and see all of the ideas.
I have made a 12'' square page:
For the background I used an old piece of designer paper from LaBlanche, and added lots of pictures, numerals and letters, mostly from TH. The man with the bowler hat was printed onto book paper and fussy cut. I added the freebie calendar and the date.
I wish you all a happy and healthy new year:
Have a Happy New Year, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
A really clever page and a great way to use a freebie calendar, too. I like that you came ups with so many clever ideas for this entry. This is a great way to start the year and a lovely first entry for Erika's theme at AJJ.
ReplyDeleteHappy, healthy, joyous New Year to you, too, dear Valerie.
Thanks so much, Elizabeth. Have a great day, week and year. Hope you soon feel better. So, I am off to bed again to catch up with my sleep!
DeleteHi Val, Happy New Year. We all slept in today. When they have all crawled out of their beds I will make brunch. I woke up with my grandson number 3 pulling my hair and 2 dogs trying to pull off the covers! Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, hope you enjoyed your wakey-wakey commando! I need lots of coffee today, couldn't sleep last night. But I have plenty of time to sleep today! Have fun with your dear family! Hugs!
DeleteYou have used the theme well, Valerie and created a lovely page, another Tups pièce de résistance, a tour de force, a work of creative excellence, a style for others to emulate. What a talent you are. What creative juices ooze in profusion in Balconia-by-the-Rhine. I am looking forward to spending 2024 with you, so start working on more! Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteThis was a sort of makeshift page because I didn't have any good ideas. Now I am off to the kitchen to make more c offee and then paint. Hugs! xxxxxxx
