Weekend post

Hi Everybody!
Have a great weekend!

I have a mixed media  A4 journal page to share today. I used another piece of my African napkin, I still have 2 pieces so can make more. The background was gessoed, sponged with left-over colours and then scribbled over with some Gelatos.  The words were stenciled, the leaves die-cut, and I sewed it all to some backing paper. The golden honeycomb pattern was a rub on.

I am linking to Soma's 'wandering camera' and to More Mixed Media, anything goes with optional brown.

And I have some photos from my Thursday evening walk:

And from my walk yesterday morning - signs of autumn are showing:

Lovely skies this morning.

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  2. Good morning Val! Hope you slept well. We had a bad night, the littl'un had belly-ache and kept us awake, but she seems to be fine this morning. Love your African page with the glorious colours. The gold is a great touch, too, and you have used autumnal colours. Lovely photos, the evening walk looks so peaceful and you always seem to to see things others don't. Have a lovely weekend, we're off to my Mum's again, sigh! Hugs, Sarah

  8. I could use some of that sunshine and warm from your African page. The hurricane passed well out to sea of us but brought my area windy, grey skies. I'm sad that Autumn is on its way but your picture of the path and bush with red berries is so pretty. Hope you are feeling better.

  10. Your mixed media journal page is out of this world. I like how you used the napkin, the die cuts, and of course those gold rub ons. Beautifully symmetrical, too. And I adore your wonky sewing. It is amazing how you can put all these disparate items together and turn them into a gorgeous piece of quality art.

Loving your photos today. Signs of autumn may be in your beautiful photos, but autumn is nowhere near ready to show itself here, yet. I love the warm colors and bright skies. These are amazing photos today, dear.
