T sTands for Trees and a Trip to a pumpkin farm

Hi Everybody!

The weekend has started off cool and autumnal, and I like it! We had a warm and sunny weekend, so I walked lots and yesterday drove with Nathalie to Holland, where we had a fun day shopping and looking at the town, but I will tell you about it another time....

On Tuesday we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and this time our lovely Joan  is hosting, and has chosen trees as her theme - a great theme for this time of year, so hope to see lots of people joining in. Joan has made 2 lovely, inspirational tree-tags which you will be able to see when the post goes live on Monday evening.
I made a hybrid tag to start off. The background was hand-painted, the tag cut from painted and stenciled card, the face is from Gecko Galz and the trees and other elements from Serif, all layered digitally:

It's also time for Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday weekly gathering, so here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T Gang who visit. I was out and about nearly all day every day, so needed to eat and drink to keep my strength up. Sorry, I had to take a bite before the photo was taken:

On the day I got this cappuccino I had walked all the way into Düsseldorf, good 10 kilometer, and badly needed sustenance:

I saw these signs outside a cafe on my way:

And this was the cappuccino served in Holland, with an extra portion of cream - which I didn't eat!

Water is sometimes good, too:

And here is a selection of the cups etc in our little thrift shop here:

Last week we visited a pumpkin farm in Mettmann, and had fun admiring the decorations:

Nathalie telephoning with a gourd:

And there is a cafe at the farm, so it would have been rude not to try their homemade cake - so yummy:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  12. A super post Valerie, you have had a full week, with your trips out and a visit into Holland as well as all the walks you have been doing. I think you deserved the delicious food and coffee you shared photos of, you must have been hungry after all the miles you completed.
I would have been into the thrift shop and probably come out with a few items, it looked very inviting.
    Happy T day wishes.

  13. Your tag is beautiful and ethereal, Valerie. I love it!

I wouldn't have drunk the cappuccino, but I would have eaten the extra portion of cream.😉 Nathalie is lovely - and lovely to let you share her photos. I love seeing the abundance of gourds at the farm. We don't have that here in the tropics, but it reminds me of my years up north in Wisconsin and New Jersey.

    Happy T-day! Eileen xx

  16. This tag is awesome. I have a LaBlanche silicone tree stamp someone by the name of VALERIE sent me one year. I MUST get it out and use it this fortnight. Hopefully I won't wait till the last minute like I did this time. Yours is fabulous and so well done, too.

I fell in LOVE with the pumpkin patch. I already purchased a pumpkin, so I have mine for the year. I love those gourdes, though. And Nathalie with those twin pumpkins had me laughing!!!! Talk about funny.

Your trip to the thrift store was amazing. I was so impressed. I loved several of the pieces. I was impressed with the "swan?" ladles, too. Of course the teapots held my interest just because they were so varied and unique.

I would have not only eaten the extra whipped cream, I would have licked the glass (joking, but still). Thanks for sharing your lovely tag, your trips to the thrift store and the pumpkin farm, and your various coffees and cappuccinos with us for T this Tuesday. You had a VERY full week, dear friend.

    1. Thanks! I am not a fan of whipped cream, I prefer my cappuccino with milk foam, yummy!

    2. I think the 'swan' ladles actually are meant to represent the Loch Ness monster, affectionately called Nessie.

    3. Yes, they are, and they followed me home and are now residing in my kitchen - Collani Nessies!

  17. I love all the pumpkins. So pretty and festive. Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. So many mugs and cups at the thrift store!

Your tag is fantastic. Love the fall colors. I do enjoy this time of year and the colors it brings with it. :)

  18. So many pumpkins!!! The photos of the op shop are interesting, lots of goodies there. 😁 your tag is beautiful. Love that mug in the second photo, I probably would have eaten the cream!! But them cream does not go with peppermint tea!!

  19. A beautiful tag full of fall colors. That mug your cappuccino is in is beautiful! I would have gone straight for that extra cup of cream.
I always love seeing all the pictures of your stores. It looks like they have a lot of dishes to choose from.
    Happy Tea Day,
    Kate

  20. You know I'm not a fan of any other season except Summer, but that Autumn tag is just gorgeous! Fabulous chalkboard signs! So many pretty plates and cups. I haven't seen many pumpkins out yet. I'm dying for a piece of that raspberry cheesecake and a cup of tea! Happy T Day

  22. Gorgeous tag and lovely autumnal colors! I love the silhouette of the tree! And how fun to see a sign in English! Unless that's common - I remember very little in English in our town :) Beautiful pumpkin farm and photos! How do they get them up and down from that big frame - unless it's decoration! :) Cheers!

    1. There are lots of English signs here, it's fashionable! And the pumpkins are all real, they go to great trouble to make fantastic displays! I love to visit different farms and see the fun!

You give such yummy pictures, and I'm in love with the pics of those coffee cups. A few are quite colorful. Hope your day is going well! Hugs, RO

  32. A lovely tag, Valerie. Bang on theme.
I was amazed at the pumpkin farm. I have never seen one apart from the one Elizabeth showed us one year and that looked very different. I smiled at Nathalie joking about with the pumpkins.
The thrift shop is fantastic! I would have spent a lot of time in there and be oh so tempted to buy lots of things. But I can imagine if you are on a 10 km walk, you don't want extra baggage...
The raspberry cheesecake looks divine! And I would have left the whipped cream too. I am not a fan of cream.
I'm sorry I am late in commenting. We've been away camping on the coast and there was no wifi on the campsite.
    Happy belated T-Day,

  34. If the number of drinks (and a big ooh! to the orange mug!) is anything to go by you've had a great week! I laughed to see your friend with the pumkins being held in just the same way I stood in front of a class of young teens when one of the boys yelled out 'Miss, you can't do that!!!!'The thrift shop looks a great place! I love the tree tag - hoping to join in again! Have a great weekend! Chrisx
