Hi Everybody!
It's nearly weekend again, where did the week go? It just seems to have disappeared again. I have been making the most of the good weather and have walked a lot, met up with friends, had fun at Art Group and of course, I took lots of photos of everything I saw.
Today I am sharing an A2 (17" x 24") page I made recently at Art Group. I am still enjoying playing with geometric shapes and bright colours. After painting the page with gesso I used fluid acrylics to paint the circles and squares and an Edding pen to outline them and draw the lines:
Then I used a stencil to make the patterns and Mona.

ReplyDeleteThe thing that struck me about your abstract art was how beautifully the circles overlapped. I love how you made those colors seem so realistic. This was a fabulous painting. It will make a great conversational tote, too.

Wonderful art! I love the modern take and your liquid acrylic application is so precise, I'm not sure it would have been so neat if I painted it ...lol 😉. DeleteI like that Mona Lisa stencil. It doesn't look exactly like her image, but it creates enough of an image that we can kinda "fill in the blanks" with our mind. Very nifty!
ReplyDeleteYour photos are lovely, as usual. I'm especially taken by the close-ups of the flowers. Sometimes, we don't realize how amazingly beautiful and/or unusual something is until we get a good close look at it. Also, being someone who often marches to her own drummer, I'm glad to see the black sheep are accepted by the rest of the flock. :)
