Hi Everybody!
đ
There's a lot going on again on Tuesday.
We are starting a new challenge at TIOT,
and it's Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday,
so here a warm welcome to the nice ladies of the T Gang.
I am glad I always work well in advance, as the last few days
I wasn't able to do anything as I am still feeling bad.
At TIOT our new challenge is 'Layer it up'.
As always, you have 2 weeks to join us, and projects of all
formats are welcome, so hope to see you there.
I made a card, using an image from Gecko Galz, and I have 8 layers on the card.
I used crackle medium on the image, and the lovely floral brads were a present from Sabine, so thanks a lot!
For Art Journal Journey, Susi's collage challenge, I have an A4 page. I stamped the Da Vinci image onto paper, and smudged the face
with my finger while the ink was still wet -
no faces etc allowed!
I glued the paper onto a gelli print,
and added it digitally to the grungy background, using a
filter to liven up the edges.
For T stands for Tuesday I want to show you some of the glass exhibits
from the museum Kunstpalast that I visited last week. The small
cup and saucer look so real, but they are in the glass.
I found this one unbelievably good.
These 2 are from the same artist:
I loved these modern glasses, too:
The whole museum is full of incredibly beautiful glass,
I will show more pics bit by bit.
I loved the Art Nouveau pieces, too:
The stairs leading down to the antique glass section. This museum is
such a riot of colour and beauty, I will go back there
soon and enjoy it again:
Sorry you are still feeling unwell, glad you were able to post such nice work for the challenges. The museum is so interesting through your eyes!
ReplyDeleteLove the card and the journal page, and the photos from the glass museum are fantastic. That cup in a cup is mind blowing! Thanks for sharing. Get plenty of rest, Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeletePretty card with nice textures, love the colour and your journal page is fab - again I love the colours.
ReplyDeleteCool photos from the museum - all very nice - I can imagine spending hours looking at all the lovely things there :)
Sorry to hear that you are unwell still Valerie - sending lots of hugs and wishing you well soon.... Gill xx
Sorry to hear you are so unwell, I hope you feel better soon! You are so organised to have your artwork ready to go and I know what it's like not being able to do anything as you feel so bad, wishing you well :-). Your card is adorable, the crackle glaze is awesome and something that is on my wish list! The floral brads from Sabine are gorgeous and finish the card off beautifully! Your collage is fantastic and as for the museum pictures, aren't those cups and saucers unvelievable and I adore the twinkle lights and antique glass. The colours of the Art Nouveau pieces are spectacular! Happy T Day Valerie and get better soon! J :-) x
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you;re still not feeling well. Your art sure doesn't show it though- really fabulous projects!! Thanks also for sharing more of that gorgeous art at the museum too. And happy T day- get well soon!
ReplyDeleteYour not feeling well makes me sad. I wish there was something I could do to make it better, but all I can do is feel a bit helpless.
ReplyDeleteYou have a ton of layers. They are quite impressive. I'm simply amazed at how many layers you were able to get on a single card, and still make it look elegant.
I have that same Vitruvian Man stamp. I like how yours looks because it looks a bit like my messy stamping (grin).
Those glass cups are simply incredible. Truly incredible. All the glass you shared is lovely, but those cups take the prize!
Thanks for sharing your lovely art and that gorgeous glass with us for T this Tuesday. Now please, please, PLEASE get better soon and please take care of yourself. I was glad that you didn't go out in the nasty weather I've seen you are having.
Those glass cups are fascinating, and the rest of the glass pieces are gorgeous. I'd love to go there and view that exhibit. Those colors! Happy T Tuesday :)
ReplyDeleteFantastic layered card Valerie with such a lot of work on it.
ReplyDeleteLove the art page today with the wonderful Da Vinci stamp.
Amazing Tea Cup with the different projections. The whole place looks like a dream world to me. Even the staircase and decorating are works of art.
Happy T Day
Love Chrissie xx

Sorry to hear you are still not feeling well. Get some rest and drink some warm tea so you get better soon. I am with you, the glass is great and that little mini tea cup and scissors are amazing. ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear you are still feeling under the weather. I hope it passes soon and you energy levels will be back to normal.
ReplyDeleteI am speechless seeing this glass! What a beautiful collection! I have never seen that technique of the cup-in-the-cup. Is it done with laser? The coloured glass is also amazing. I love the little snail. I also like the vases with the mushrooms. Oh I love them all!
The layered card is cute and your Leonardo collage is awesome.
Thank you so much for sharing. I've enjoyed all of it.
