Hi Everybody!
It's Tuesday again, so it's time for
Elizabeth's T Stands For Tuesday party, and I would
like to extend a warm welcome to all the lovely T Gang ladies.
I have one more mixed media/hybrid piece for Art Journal Journey, Susi's theme
of collage with a twist:
And this is the tag I made for Tag Tuesday last week, our theme was
patchwork fields:
I popped into this lovely bakery for cup of coffee, the figures in the window
move, it was fun to watch them:
And as I had time before my appointment, I went into the tower and saw the exhibits in the ship's museum there, and enjoyed another cup of coffee up in the 'lantern' under
the roof:
The views from the huge windows were wonderful in all directions:
And the cappuccino was good, too, and I remembered to take a photo
before I drank it all:
I will show the pictures of the wonderful ship's models another time.
Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Terrific page Valerie and the figures stand out so well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place to stop for a coffee and see all the views. Just imagine the views when the wheel gets to the top.
Love Chrissie xx
What sweet art! I love the page sentiment and the tag is gorgeous! Your photos are lovely too.
ReplyDeleteBoth lovely and the tea shop looks wonderful. Love the ferris wheel shots!
ReplyDeleteLove your page, the style is very reminiscent of the 1920s, fantastic background, too. And as for the photos - wonderful, just wonderful. Hope to see you soon, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeletewhat a lovely day you had! The work for the challenges is beautiful too!
ReplyDeleteYour art work as always is fabulous - the lady and her dog is very chic and oh how I love your tag, it's a little masterpiece and your painting is stunning! You always have so much fun on your days out - watching the figures in the window makes me smile and the views across the town through the huge windows are spectacular! Wishing you a very Happy T Day dear Valerie! J :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the art piece for AJJ and the tag is amazing! And who could forget to rave about the beautiful photos you share...ah...love tagging along with you for those sightseeing excursions.
ReplyDeleteI used to tell people love me, love my cat. Of course, his name was DOG! Yep, it's true. So that spread has very special meaning to me.
ReplyDeleteBoth places you stopped for coffee/cappuccinos were wonderful. I so enjoyed the bakers in the window, and of course, the stalls that were all decked out in Christmas fare.
But the scenes from the tower in the ship's museum were incredible. Sadly, the Rhine looked very, very cold. It's a beautiful scene, though, and I so enjoyed every photo. Thanks for sharing it, your gorgeous AJJ entry, your darling tag, and your photos of the Altstadt, as well as your cappuccino with us for T this Tuesday. Hope you are safe and snug in bed right now, because the weather looks terribly cold there.
Yes, it is freezing cold just now, and without sun the Rhine looks grey and cold!
DeleteOh Valerie that page so speaks to me-love it! What a beautiful tag. And thank you for gracing us so often with your gorgeous surroundings. Love that display window with the bakers! Happy T day!
ReplyDelete2 coffee shops! And I love the views from each one. I'd be hard pressed to choose between them so am glad you took us to both. Thx! Happy T Tuesday :)
ReplyDeleteLove the silhouettes in the collage - classic.
ReplyDeleteLovely views ... look forward to the ship pictures
By the way ... I knew a young couple who first met on a Ferris Wheel. Last I heard they were still going around together!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAre you trying to encourage me?!!
DeleteYes I am relating to the page you created, that lady with her dog looks fantastic. Gorgeous painting on the tag as well.
ReplyDeleteThe photos you took from the tower are brilliant, what a good view if the town and wheel you had drinking your coffee. The shop with the animations in the window is a show stopper, I would be sitting there longer than I should just watching other folks looking in.
Happy T day
Yvonne xx

Wow-what a great post today. Your collage is all about me with my dog(s). Ha-ha! If only I could look so elegant. :) Great page. And your photos today are amazing. What a fun window display and those view from up in the tower are interesting too. Have a happy T day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful collage. I love the silhouette of the elegant lady. The tag is also very beautiful. The colours are warm and the scene draws you in.
ReplyDeleteThank you for taking us for coffee in your city. The baker's display is fab! Yes, I would stop there just to see the display.
And coffee in the tower sounds fantastic! There seems to be a sort of Christmas market thing going on outside. When you go into the tower, you do not need to go on the ferris wheel. The views are just as stunning! Thank you so much for sharing the photos. I really enjoyed looking at the views and am looking forward to seeing the ships from the exhibition next time.
Happy T-Day,
Lisca
Popped over from Elizabeth and Bluebird. Lovely collage page and tag. What a treat to take a trip from the comfort of my chair. The views from the tower are breath-taking. My fantasy is to have a studio in a lighthouse. The animated bakers make me think of the Santa's Village at the big department store when I was little.
ReplyDeleteI would love to live in an old mill or tower, too!
DeleteGreat artwork Valerie - the silhouettes are very striking and elegant.
ReplyDeleteWishing that it warm and sunny here like in your beautiful tag.
Fantastic views in your photos today - that was lovely treat seeing those.
Love the ones with the animated bakers especially.
Hope you're having a great day.. Gill xx

Oh how I missed your wonderful posts!! Beautiful artwork, that tag is just delightful with the summer scene! Your town looks so quaint! I'm hoping to get a scooter next summer so I can travel a little further. I would love to visit our main street, but it's too far to walk to it. sending hugs :)
Sabine
