Hi Everybody!
Have a good weekend.
For Art Journal Journey, if music be the food of love, I have another journal page. I woke up early, and wanted to do something heart shaped, which I did. Hmmm, can't say I like it, but that's okay, too! And yes, I know we are not supposed to slam ourselves, but....I am also linking to 99 faces
Winter sun makes wonderful shadows:
The early morning sky is always a great pleasure to see:
And here we have a case of bad hair day:
Have a good weekend you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Music does fill our heads and hearts! Lovely piece. Your photos are so captivating a well.
ReplyDeleteWonderful page Valerie and her eyes look amazing. Gorgeous photos too.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely weekend yourself.
Fliss xx
What a fun piece and a great change from the usual head , heart and hand... :) Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love your hearty lady, you always have great ideas. Beautiful photos too, love the bad hair day heron. Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteI think it's a great creation! I like how the shape of his head comes back in his chest :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderfully fun piece. Love the blushing cheeks!

I have a rubber stamp that stamps only the eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth, but no other features. I stamped some of those faces years ago, then cut them into heart shaped heads. Somehow, the hearts distorted the faces and turned the pretty girl's face into a grotesque image. At least you created ears and hair for your heart shaped face, something mine didn't include.
ReplyDeleteLaughed and laughed at the bird. Looked a bit like my hair today (although mine is far shorter) in our nearly 50 mph wind gusts.
I certainly like those shadows. You captured some beauties.
Lovely music page and wonderful winter shadows!
ReplyDeleteI think your piece is charming ... has lots of 'heart' .. lol. I'm growing quite attached to the heron these days .. and of course your tall shadow. Have you ever brought it home with you? hugs, Donna
ReplyDeleteNo, the shadow is hard to catch, always runs away and I can never quite catch it!
I love the page Valerie. It has a comic quality but with your own special twists and turns. It looks a bit like I feel when I am listening the certain pieces of music though there may be a tear or two running down my cheeks at the time. lol.
ReplyDeleteThe shadow photographs are wonderful and nice to see there was some sun so that you could take them. The poor heron looks a bit windswept bvut still very beautiful.
Have a great weekend-hopefully less wet than it is here.
Love Chrissie xx
Gorgeous work!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your beautiful photos too!!
Smiles, Saskia :)
wow,das ist ja eine tolle seite und die bilder sind wunderschön.
ReplyDeleteschönes we.

Hi Valerie..
ReplyDeleteFabulous fun creation and happy face - I love music but sometimes wish I had an 'off switch' in my head for days when I keep humming the same song over and over :)
I smiled at the shadows on your wall as I could see lots of bird shapes which looked like they had their wings up maybe conducting some music.
(guessing maybe that's the bulb you were growing?)
Still no chance of planet spotting here as another grey day.
Oops I nearly wrote 'planet spitting' ha ha that would be different!
Have a lovely weekend - Gill xx
Planet spitting might be hard on account of the distance!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful created design, how awesome is that face and with super colours chosen.xx

Beautiful art pieces today Valerie. I just love your sky photos, you have the most amazing shots of sunrises and sunsets! Love it! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteI actually like the face. Those heart shaped pupils surprised me when I looked up close. You could turn it into the Queen of hearts- not Alice in Wonderland style- if you wanted to, but a more mature and less fairy tale face. Your shadows photos are amazing too! Love those! Happy Saturday-hope its been good so far! :)
ReplyDeleteYour musical heart lady has beautiful eyes and lips and looks great in your collage. ♥ I think we are each our own worst critics ;-)
ReplyDeleteLovely shadow photos. The winter light is very special I think.

Your "heart face" is perfect and represents true musical love from the heart. It appears I'm not the only one who has bad hair days. Loved your photos and the shadows on the wall. No heat today, our furnace is off and we are waiting for the repair man. Brrrr. Why do these things happen on weekends
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Carolyn
I like it! Especially the music close to her heart.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, my friend.
How cute and quirky this page is; I can tell you had fun doing it.
ReplyDeletehugs,

A fantastic page again Valerie, love how her heart is full of love and music. Super photos as well.

ReplyDeleteI loved this journal page from the first time I saw it -- There is something very captivating about her face. I see you are still tall and skinny!
