Head, heart and hair

Hi Everybody!
Have a good weekend.

For Art Journal Journey, if music be the food of love, I have another journal page. I woke up early, and wanted to do something heart shaped, which I did. Hmmm, can't say I like it, but that's okay, too! And yes, I know we are not supposed to slam ourselves, but....I am also linking to 99 faces

Winter sun makes wonderful shadows:

The early morning sky is always a great pleasure to see:

And here we have a case of bad hair day:

Have a good weekend you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  7. I have a rubber stamp that stamps only the eyes, eyebrows, nose and mouth, but no other features. I stamped some of those faces years ago, then cut them into heart shaped heads. Somehow, the hearts distorted the faces and turned the pretty girl's face into a grotesque image. At least you created ears and hair for your heart shaped face, something mine didn't include.

Laughed and laughed at the bird. Looked a bit like my hair today (although mine is far shorter) in our nearly 50 mph wind gusts.

I certainly like those shadows. You captured some beauties.

  9. I think your piece is charming ... has lots of 'heart' .. lol. I'm growing quite attached to the heron these days .. and of course your tall shadow. Have you ever brought it home with you? hugs, Donna

    1. No, the shadow is hard to catch, always runs away and I can never quite catch it!

  12. I love the page Valerie. It has a comic quality but with your own special twists and turns. It looks a bit like I feel when I am listening the certain pieces of music though there may be a tear or two running down my cheeks at the time. lol.

The shadow photographs are wonderful and nice to see there was some sun so that you could take them. The poor heron looks a bit windswept bvut still very beautiful.

Have a great weekend-hopefully less wet than it is here.

    Love Chrissie xx

  15. Hi Valerie..
Fabulous fun creation and happy face - I love music but sometimes wish I had an 'off switch' in my head for days when I keep humming the same song over and over :)

I smiled at the shadows on your wall as I could see lots of bird shapes which looked like they had their wings up maybe conducting some music.
(guessing maybe that's the bulb you were growing?)

Still no chance of planet spotting here as another grey day.
Oops I nearly wrote 'planet spitting' ha ha that would be different!
Have a lovely weekend - Gill xx

  19. I actually like the face. Those heart shaped pupils surprised me when I looked up close. You could turn it into the Queen of hearts- not Alice in Wonderland style- if you wanted to, but a more mature and less fairy tale face. Your shadows photos are amazing too! Love those! Happy Saturday-hope its been good so far! :)

  21. Your "heart face" is perfect and represents true musical love from the heart. It appears I'm not the only one who has bad hair days. Loved your photos and the shadows on the wall. No heat today, our furnace is off and we are waiting for the repair man. Brrrr. Why do these things happen on weekends
    Hugs,
