Hi Everybody!
It's the middle of the week already - where does the time go?
Today I have a hybrid piece in which I have layered Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian man, his portrait and one of his wonderful anatomical sketches. I pulled it all together with a frame. I am linking to Moo Mania and More, famous people.

For 99 faces I am showing the last of my 'old fashioned girls' - this time in spring green, drawn and painted over a floral DP background. I needed to see some spring colours!
Down at the Rhine I met the usual ducks, geese, gulls and Mr Heron. Here he still has a fish in his beak:
And he didn't bother to wipe his beak afterwards!
I am sure the ships get bigger and bigger:
The water is not so high as it was:
But still seems to be rather chilly:
And I was happy to find lots of beautiful, frosted leaves:
Have a good day, keep warm, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
A wonderful post again. Love the collage of da Vinci, and the face is fabulous and most expressive. Fantastic photos, too. Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteI love the da Vinchi piece--so good. And your pics show me that yes indeed--it is winter. Sigh. Lovely stuff. xo
ReplyDeleteGlad you captured some spring in your art piece today! And neat to see the Heron with the fish. None more famous than Da Vinci!
ReplyDelete¡Gran trabajo, Valerie!
ReplyDeleteY las fotografías me encantan :)
The da Vinci piece is fabulous and you would imagine would be my favourite with the sepia tones but I am so drawn to your woman, maybe it's the colours, such a tonic on a cold winter's evening.
ReplyDeleteValerie, many thanks for your visits to my Blog especially when I have been all but absent from on-line activities, especially stopping by here.
Wishes
Lynne

Wow- one of those heron photos is amazing! Your other photos are really good too-not to make it sound like you only have 1 nice photo. And I am with you about the green and spring colors. Love your old fashion face in those colors. How many faces are you at now? Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteIf counted right, this was no. 54.
DeleteI love your bold use of line in the monochromatic portrait and the interest that the printed background adds to it. Those are some interesting frost shots you took as well. Blessings!
LG Ulrike
Your page composition today is marvelous; the vignette really sets of the main elements and the blending is terrific. I also like the green face, a little reminder of spring is always welcomed. Thanks for the walk and your new frosty photos. You captured some great ones today.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
C

ReplyDeleteLove your wonderful page of Leonardo do Vinci. The green face girl is awesome.
Love the icy pics and you captured the first bird beautifully.

Love your art, that green one is so bright and cheery, fabulous!! I am really in love with your frost pictures, we haven't had any weather like that so far this year and I am totally envious!! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteLove the da Vinci collage ♥♥♥♥ and your green face is very cheerful :) Glad to see that Mr. Heron got his meal and that water and the leaves do look very chilly! No that would be very cold! Have a good day.
ReplyDeleteAwesome Leonardo and your green lady is such a cheerful piece - love them both. Your fab frosty photos are certainly very frosty looking - no wonder Mr Heron looks so fed up, I think he may need a hat and scarf to keep him warm.
ReplyDeleteHope you've had a good day............ Gill xx
I love those frosty photos! Your journal page is fabulous! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to catch up now that I'm back. DaVinci's Vitruvian Man is one of my favorite images. I truly love it, and really like what you did with this by superimposing the great man himself on the painting.
ReplyDeleteI admit I'm also ready for spring. Your springtime beauty is testament to that, too. Your photos look like some of the scenes I saw out my window as I whizzed by frozen areas. As I scrolled and read, I could hear the crunch of frozen leaves under your feet. Hope your week has been good. I'm off to see what else I've missed.
LOVE your da Vinci piece!!
ReplyDeleteOn my list of favs!
Happy Sunday Valerie!
hugs,Jackie
Nothing like waking up with a naked man on your computer!
ReplyDeleteMost of all, I love the pictures of the ice on the plants. They are so very beautiful!
