Hi Everybody!
It's weekend - have a good one!
For Art Journal Journey, winter wonderland, I made a hybrid photo collage using a photo from my lovely blogger friend, Carolyn, who takes wonderful photos, and makes fabulous artwork and digital work. The background of my hybrid piece was painted with acrylics. I always love watching the wild geese, and was very happy when dear Carolyn sent me the photo! Thanks for the permission to use it.

And this hybrid collage was made just for fun, I needed a break from winter!
Today was another very mixed day with blue skies, grey clouds and lots of wind.
I love these old trailers:
The heron put himself in scene again today:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Love both pages you made today, I can understand you wanting a break from winter, don't we all.The photos of the heron are very good today. Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteLovely wintery pages. Love the heron as well.
ReplyDeletebeautiful pages and beautiful photos,,
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is your break from winter collage, wonderful color and detail! Herons and other large majestic water birds are the main thing I miss from Florida. I do not miss the humidity! :D
ReplyDeletevery uplifting quote and lovely pages! That's a nice old trailer.
ReplyDeleteLove both of your pieces today. Spring...well it wasn't suppose to snow today and its been snowing all evening. UGH. But I guess it is January. We can dream I guess. Still can't over how green your grass is. Have a wonderful weekend too!
ReplyDeleteThe other blogger's grass is always greener....
Deletetwo great pieces. Love the one where they are peeking through the trees. Thanks for the lovely stroll ... enjoyed your gatherings very much. hugs, Donna
ReplyDeleteOoh, those are good ones.
ReplyDeleteI think that Heron likes you! He's always hanging around:)
As always, I adore the beauty of the winter scene, but totally understand how leaving winter behind for a time with a different collage is good for recharging your batteries, especially if the day was cold and windy. I so enjoyed the heron today. I wonder if s/he was vocal, because it looked like it was talking.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Saturday and weekend.
I never heard the heron 'talk' or make any noises.
DeleteFantastic pieces Valerie, your hybrid work is always so amazing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful page with the winter scene Valerie and the one just for fun is magical. I think we will all be pleased when winter is over though we have a very cold and snowy forecast for the coming week.
ReplyDeleteLove the photographs today with the old trailer and the heron
Have a great day

Valerie, I always love visiting your blog and seeing your amazing photos. I almost feel like I am there with you because your photos are that good! I also love seeing your beautiful works or art. Your hybrid photo collage is stunning and has such a wonderful sentiment. And your second collage made just for fun is simply amazing! Thanks for sharing a little bit of you with all of us! HUGS!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pieces today Valerie! Thanks for your comment on my baby card...your bit about the vampires had me in stitches! Love your heron photos today, what a stately bird! hugs :)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful winters scene with the flying geese and the hybrid one looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteYvonne xx
That is certainly a stunning photo with the geese, and I like what you have done with it too, the arch of words and the marvellous sky.
ReplyDeleteFun that you made a warm day collage too, it's just gorgeous with these warm, warm colours and sunny day foliage.
I think the heron likes being on your blog and having an international audience, it's the equivalent of a heron-selfie.
Perhaps we could start a heron fan club?
DeleteBoth projects are unique and lovely Valerie. The geese photo and your creation is just stunning. I think that bird's feet must be very cold - eheheheh - in your last photo!!! I love that "she" is wearing a hat of leaves too - maybe that helps her feet stay warmer!!! j.
ReplyDeleteYou created a beautiful winter page, Valerie. (I'm a little partial.) However, I also like your warmer collage. The geese this morning were standing on the edge of the ice in the pond. It is warming up so the ice should soon be gone. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeletehugs,
c
Thanks Carolyn, your photo was just fantastic!
DeleteWOW Valerie, what a beautiful winter page. Love the quote too. It is freezing here and seeing your water photos seem even colder. Have a great weekend. Celeste xo
ReplyDeleteI love your pages - the Winter one has such a lovely photo and I love how you have used it! I can see the fun you had with your second one! Great heron pics and the trailer reminds me of childhood rides on something similar - health and safety meant looking out for yourself in those days!!! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteGreat pages today Valerie ♥ Love all of the photos of Mr. Heron he was being very cooperative with the camera.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful artwork and photography. I never tire of seeing birds.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Teresa
Such a beautiful winter piece and yes, we are waiting for Spring that follows!!
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful Sunday- hope you have some sunshine!
hugs,Jackie
Sehr gelungene Winterstimmung auf deinem Gänsebild! LG Ulrike
ReplyDeleteLovely winter collage with the promise of spring.
ReplyDeleteIn the fall when I hear the squeaky wings of the geese flying overhead I get a little melancholy thinking about the long winter.
But now I realize time moves SO quickly...so no worries.
That is one handsome birdie and he looks like he is posing just for you.

I like your top dig work and then as I scroll other types. Very impressive. As you used the scenery. I do that at times. It is lovely.
ReplyDeleteI seen another one I liked but somehow it must of been on another of your blog. It was using a scene with a child or children.
My fav one was above your apple pie and coffee. I love that one.
