Cold Blue

Hi Everybody, it's Friday again!

That means it's time for Paint Party Friday and Kim's show Your face, and everyday is the right time for Art Journal Journey, winter wonderland.

I painted an A3 sheet with various blues,  white and silver. I drew the face with black ink. I added some shading in blue, and painted her hair, eyebrows and lips with silver metallic from Vivacolor. I added some touches of diamond Stickles on her lashes and hair, and the quote. Then I sprayed some white glimmer mist and let it run down over her face.

Today was sunny/windy/ cold/dry/wet in quick succession. I enjoyed my walk along the Rhine, watching the clouds, birds and ships.

This cloud looks to me like a face with a big nose in profile, looking to the right - can you see it too?

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  17. Certainly looks a lot brighter on your photographs than it has here for a very long time. Love the ones on the river it always looks like something interesting is happening when you go for a walk. Rain and darkness here again I'm afraid.

Just love the page Valerie and the face has such beauty even though her stare seems frosty. How lovely to have the diamond stickles on her eyelashes they really take you straight to the eyes.

    Have a great day

    Love Chrissie xx

  23. Gosh Valerie, this face is beautiful. I love the eyelashes and the white dribbles down the face. What a fabulous quote, too. It certainly went well with the blue frozen lady.

As always, I enjoyed the photos from your walk. Of course, I think the boats on the river are my favorite, because there is nothing like that in my world.

  26. I liked the eyelash details you added to the blue lady--very stylish!

I did see the face you saw, as well as the lady Nicole saw, but what first caught my eye was a ?skeleton grimace. Imagine the large nose as hair and look below it. See it?

  32. Perfect quote to go with your blue face today. Loving blue, this page is a favorite the way you streaked the silver and highlighted her eyes. Your photos of the ships today were exceptional. I often wonder if the captains say to themselves, "there is that woman again, always taking pictures?" Enjoy your weekend.

  44. Wonderful monochromatic!

So I tried to find the profile in the cloud. I mean I really looked, and it seemed to be the back of a puppy sitting down, with his ears back. But then I scrolled down and realized you meant the NEXT photo. LOL. Totally a profile, sort of Abe Lincoln-ish. :)
