Hi Everybody!
Today I am sharing a fun little owl painted in watercolours. It was a class from Tamara in Lifebook 21. Sorry the photos are not really clear, I need to set up my tripod when I have shaky fingers:
And some thinkies / funnies:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot or coming by!
It will be apparent to you, Valerie, that I am quite taken with this little owl, a sort of cross morphologically between several of the smaller species, but psychedelic in its plumage. I am wondering whether this is a bird you have seen in the bottomlands and swamps of Balconia-by-the-Rhine, perhaps obtaining fleeting glimpses, yet sufficient to imprint it on your mind, to be recalled later. Or perhaps in your misspent youth it was an apparition induced by magic mushrooms! I note that it is equipped with a crown and this quite puzzling since birds are not generally known to acquire external adornments. There is much room for study here, and I expect that you will be called on to share your wisdom with other experts. Your post seems to imply that you intended to include pictures, but I don't see any. The owl is enough, however. I shall dream of it tonight! I am leaving my comment this evening since I am leading a bird walk tomorrow and have things to do before I leave. By now you are probably about to go to bed, or perhaps are already there, so sweet dreams. Hugs and kisses. David
ReplyDeleteHi David! I thought this colourful little owl would quickly be spotted by your trained eye, and I'm sure you don't have one in like it in Canada! I think the mushrooms might have been more to blame than anything else! But as you know, Balconia is a place where we regularly see strange apparitions, and these days more likely to be seen by old ladies in their dotage wandering about and seeing strange thing! I didn't add any pictures last night, my fingers were too painful, so I kept it short. My posts usually go live at midnight and by then I am already snoring into my pillow case. I don't think I dreamed of anything, I read for while and then went to sleep quite quickly. Enjoy your bird walk, have fun, and take good care of yourself! Big hugs, Valerie
