Sunday this n that

Hi Everybody!

Today I am sharing my last scrappy tag for Tag Tuesday,
our theme ends Monday evening. I have had the flower
fairy tags and images in my scrap box for ages, they came free
with a magazine many years back. The background was
coloured with DIs and stamped with LaBlanche stamps
in archival black. I added the fairy, and a cut out bird
with a flower in its beak. The ribbon trim was recycled
from an old project.

For Jo's 'Poetry in motion' theme at Art Journal Journey I
have a painted, collage, stamped, stenciled and sewn page. I
think I overdid it a bit, it looks rather crowded. I was trying
to cover up a stain I made.... It is also meant
as a reminder for 'In your garden' at TIOT:

And some photo taken on my walks to and from our little town this week:

Have a great Sunday, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by.

  2. Hi Val, great post, as always. The tag is so pretty, love the background, too, and wish my hair looked like that fairy's! Great journal page with those sweet little paper dolls, you have been busy again. Lovely photos! The zoo was nice, the kids were happy. I'll ring you after lunch and tell all.... Hugs, Sarah

  3. both of your art pieces today are so full of joy! I love the theme. The paper doll images were brilliant to add in and the poem on that piece was so true.:) I haven't thought about paper dolls in years/ And the flowers on your walk are gorgeous, but I was really struck by that heart shaped log holder. I need on of those for next to my woodstove. Happy Sunday. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

  5. The little fairy image is so adorable on your lovely tag and you have such pretty bits of ribbon in your scrap box too, they finish it beautifully! Your page for Art Journal Journey is fabulous and the poem evokes childhood memories of how magical gardens are, I even think the words are true today even though I'm a lot older ... lol 😉. I adore the bright colours and your paper dolls, I remember making them when I was young so they are perfect to accompany the poem along with all those wonderful embellishments and images you have chosen! Thanks so much for creating such a happy magical page for AJJ, you have brightened my day 😁. Happy Sunday! J 😊

  7. Garden tags and pages showing happy times in a garden. I enjoyed the pictures on your walk. I want to get some black eyed susans for the meadow. My mother had some in her garden. The little orange thingies made me smile. As kids, we used to throw them at each other. Beautiful flowers. I'll have to show my friend Red, the log holder. Cute and practical
