Hi Everybody!
For Jo's theme of 'poetry in motion' at Art Journal Journey and for the
Digitally made Challenge, pets, I have a fun page using elements from
Serif, Mischief Circus and me:
There is still a week left to join in the 'Use your scraps' challenge
at Tag Tuesday. I made a tag using paper off-cuts from one of my bit
boxes. The image is from June at Dezina World, and was already fussy
cut in another box. The punched trellis was also left over from another
project. I combined all the scraps using sewing and highlighting
with a Sacura pen. The bow-tie and hankie were made from scraps of cheese cloth to add more texture:
The photos were taken in Nord (north) Park, which is 5 minutes
away on the tram, and a lovely place for a peaceful
half hour:
The beautiful Japanese garden is my fave part:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Gosh, I always enjoy visiting here but this week is especially lovely. You made me smile at the use of the cheesecloth for the tie and handkerchief! And the photos gave me a feeling like I have been on a nice vacation! Thanks so much, Valerie.

True quote on your AJJ page! Love the trellis on the tag today. Nord park is beautiful with the fountains and lovely peaceful gardens.
ReplyDeleteLove your pets page, typical Valerie humour and the dog somehow reminds me of Scruffy! Another fantastic page, and a great tag too, wonder what that man is dreaming about?! Have a nice evening, I shall, too, as the kids are all out with my sister! Hugs, Sarah

Such a fun page for Art Journal Journey, it really made me smile 😁. The quote from James Herriot transports me back to the television series "All creatures great and small" which was adapted from his books. It's such a wonderful quote and digital page, and your talking goat and dog are too cute! The fabric you used to fashion a bow tie and handkerchief on your tag caught my eye, amazing work 😁. I loved seeing the Japanese cloud trees, they look stunning and I would enjoy walking round these lovely gardens too! Thanks for sharing your pet inspired artwork and wishing you a great evening! J 😊
ReplyDeleteI always loved those books and the TV series. I still have some on DVD s.
DeleteI love your pets theme page. The trees on the little island are very striking and unusual.
ReplyDeleteYou have such an amazing whimsy. I just love that first piece with the pets. There is so much tehre I think I could look for hours and find something new. And I find it just delightful. Everything works. Thanks for making me smile today!
ReplyDeleteI just love your art and the armchair travels. The bird in your page made me laugh. Show off, indeed. And the gentleman is certainly concentrating hard on his daydreams. You can even see the wheels spinning. Nord Park is so lovely. Very cool water features, but the Japanese garden is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteThe Zen garden is a wonderful place to be.
DeleteI really enjoyed your AJJ entry today. I recognized your dog, and he doesn't look vicious at all. Such a clever entry.
ReplyDeleteThe tag is fabulous. I love the cheesecloth texture you provided. It made it even more tactile, I'm sure.
Those Nord Park fountains are fabulous. I was truly mesmerized by them and enlarged each one. The Japanese gardens were simply beautiful. I really appreciated the little island with the bonsai type trees. Everything was simply splendid.
I love your entire blog post! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe pets with the glasses crack me up! Love the day dream one because of the wheels turning. :)
ReplyDeleteLook at those fountains! So beautiful! The gardens look fantastic too. So relaxing. Thanks for sharing. :)
