Hi Everybody!
Today I have 2 pieces for Art Journal Journey, Indian summer, and Paint Party Friday.
The first piece is an A3 mixed media page. The background was painted, sprayed and dripped. I used various stencils and colours to add depth, and an enlarged Mr Umbrella man stencil. The text was made with a stencil from Stencilry.
This a hybrid collage page made with a photo taken from my window, my balcony blackbird and a window frame which was added digitally. I used a digital filter to soften the edges of the photo and added some text.
Last week I hopped on the tram and went to the North Park,
a very well kept park with wonderful
plants all year round.
And of course, I found some ducks and other birds who
gladly shared my bread:
One part is a Japanese Zen garden, a wonderful and
peaceful place to take a break and
leave the world outside:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Both pieces are beautiful, both so different, and both so 'Valerie' style - gorgeous. Wonderful photos. I remember North Park well from our time there - do the people still play boules? Hugs, Sarah

ReplyDeleteBoth art pieces are beautiful, but I am partial to the window scene, probably because of the text. It reminds me of tape transfers.
ReplyDeleteYour trip to the park is remarkable. Those fountains are beautiful. The whole trip looks wonderful. The Japanese zen garden looked so peaceful. I'm sure it was calming. Just a fantastic day out! Hope you are having a great Thursday. I'm off to try to post some photos to my blog, which is slower than slow right now.
Fantastisch ! Die Schirmmannseite ist sooo schön und auch die hybride Arbeit! Schwärm! Was für ein toller Ausflug! Da würde ich an Deiner Stelle öfter mal hinfahren! Super!

ReplyDeleteLove the Dreamer and it makes me think of Gene Kelly in SINGING IN THE RAIN. Love both.
ReplyDeleteAlways enjoy scrolling through your daily posts and wonderful photographs. I also love Magpies and the last photo here just made me stop and smile.
ReplyDeleteTwo fab works today - I always enjoy anything with Mr Umbrella man and always go away humming 'singing in the rain' :) Fab hybrid collage with beautiful effects.
ReplyDeleteAnd I loved my walk, I mean your walk in that lovely park - I could imagine sitting there for many hours enjoying the lovely surroundings... and the lovely birds as well.
Have noted about the chicken liver risotto. The following day we had squash, potato and chickpea curry (mild curry as I don't like hot ones) do you like that sort of food too :)
Hope you've had a great day Valerie.
