Autumn leaves

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week has started well. I keep thinking it's Sunday today,
as we have a holiday here. Tuesday is Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday,
so here a big welcome to all of the T gang, and of course, to anyone else who comes along.

For Art Journal Journey, Indian Summer, I have a hybrid piece. The background was painted and stamped, and the face was painted with acrylics and then cut out. I put them together digitally, and added some extra leaves, fungi, the bird and the hedgehog.

Last week I went to the Altstadt (old town) of Düsseldorf for a little outing, walked along the Rhine and then through the streets which were full of people eating and drinking:

A famous restaurant:

One restaurant next to the other:

The Uerige brews and sells  'Alt Bier', a speciality  in Düsseldorf:

This was the entrance to a little passageway and courtyard, filled with strange things:

My drink was, as always, cappuccino - this photo must be a forgery!

And this little chappy probably drinks water:

Have a wonderful day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Love the shopping adventure, I like those little places.

  4. What a wonderful autumn inspired entry. What's the deal with hedgehogs and autumn? I'm seeing them everywhere on plates, cushions, and as small statues. They are adorable, but it's a bit surprising how they have taken the industry by storm this year.

LOVE the small passageway. I'm constantly amazed how trusting the shop owners are. Everything in the states is behind glass or has a salesperson buzzing around. You live in such a trusting country, which says something for you and not so much for my country.

Got a good laugh at your forged T entry today. I suspect it isn't as forged as you want us to believe (grin). Thanks for sharing both your gorgeous autumn inspired art and your drink(S) with us for T this soon to be Tuesday.

  5. Love your journal page today, the way you put images together always amazes me - it's so breathtakingly beautiful! The little bird and hedgehog are adorable looking up at the lovely face you painted :-). Altstadt is such a interesting place and it looks like you had great weather, no wonder your choice of drink was cold and refreshing :-). Your photos are wonderful, I love all those strange things you found - don't let Patty see those dolls heads she's bound to want them :-). Happy T Day! J :-)

  16. This is another creative and gorgeous piece for AJJ. You are really inspired by your theme. :) Loving these photos you've had lately. You have been busy and having a lot of fun. And Dusseldorf looks nice, at least in the old town part. I'm sure like every city there are parts not as pretty. And I think your drink looks good to me. That one glass is huge! Happy T Day. Hugs-Erika
