Hi Everybody!
For Art Journal Journey, Indian summer, I have a double spread made in my 2nd new journal, using the new stamp from Lost Coast Designs that I recently bought at the Mecca. I was just having bit of fun here, creating some new autumn styles for this lady....The leaves have been die cut from painted and stamped paper, the feathers are from the castle geese. The clothes were made from scraps of paper. The two ladies are looking away from each other - I wonder why?
And before I forget it again, here is my Tag Tuesday tag from last week, our theme was nursery rhymes:
And here are some more photos of my visit to Neuss last week.
There were a lot of beautiful and interesting old houses and buildings:
The arcades here used to lead to the town hall:
Modern transport:
I wonder what this lady would think if she could see the town as it is today?
A place near the Minster is called 'An der Münze' - at the Mint, where the coins were minted, and there were very interesting oversized bronze 'coins' let into the cobblestones to show what the coins looked like in the middle ages. I put them together with some of the bronze statues to make a collage:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
What lovely and whimsical art! The photographs are very nice too.
ReplyDeleteI love your fun pages today, great colours and a nice bit of Valerie humour again. Great tag, too. Good to see Neuss once more, but I wouldn't want to roll around on those strange machines....Have a good start in the week, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteOh what fun these ladies are! Of course your nursery rhymes had to be that one! Nuess looks really interesting and it looks as though it was a beautiful Autumn day too! Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteI really love your art today, fall for sure. I saw the tag and thought of London Bridges Falling Down. The town of Nuess is amazing. Are the transports free or do you have to rent them? I want to come and explore there. Have a wonderful Sunday.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I don't know, I just saw this group whizzing by me and then again when they stopped at the square.
DeleteThat is a great face stamp and I love your stylish ladies. :) They look ready to walk to runway. I also enjoy your photos of Nuess. It has some interesting architecture and some interesting views. Its really interesting to be an arch chair traveler and see these places. Maybe someone I will get to Germany. Happy new week. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThose autumn fashions are a hoot. It was a smart move to save the geese feathers. They were perfect.
ReplyDeleteBleubeard and I give you two paws up for the London cat visiting the Queen. It's a beauty and so is your lovely black cat.
Some very lovely photos today of Nuess. The mosaic of the coins and statues says it all. What a beautiful city and fun trip you shared with us.
Beautiful work for the challenges and Neuss is such a charming town!
ReplyDeleteInteresting photos Valerie, and just love your post again and those feathers, awesome.xx {aNNie}
ReplyDeleteToday has to be a prizewinner ... such imagination and fun ...the photographs continue to amaze me, albeit I'm the world's worst photographer.

Rather 'interesting' ladies, to say the least. I wonder if they have been shopping together and had a little 'tiff'. The London tag is gorgeous. ... your visit to a nearby town fascinating. Thanks for sharing. hugs, Donna
ReplyDeleteGreat pages, Valerie, and clever use of your new stamps. The tag is fantastic too.
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely day! Mar xx
Terrific use of the new stamp Valerie-not sure how they are facing in different direction though.
ReplyDeleteLove the tag which I never got round to seeing last week at Tag Tuesday so great to not miss it now it is in this post.
What wonderful photographs and all so clear and crisp with so much of interest.
Thank you for sharing your day out
Love Chrissie xx
Autumn greetings! brrrr...mornings are getting colder (not below zero yet).
ReplyDeleteYour photos tell me you have still late summer over there! :)
Have a good week!
Love that tag:)
ReplyDeleteThe architecture in the pictures is fascinating. Especially love the first one with the green leaves.
YOU have a great week.
Hugs
Hi Valerie, Once again your art work page is a stunner and I love the tag and the little verse. The town you visited is interesting and so artful. Love the leaves around the door in the first photo. Thanks for sharing and also for stopping by the Texas Fall blog tour!! Have a great week. xo
ReplyDeleteSuch a great posting today Valerie ♥ Was jus ttelling the hubby last night that I needed some new cold weather clothes as the ones I have are so old that only patching and wearing around here for yard work will work for them. I think I might pass on your ladies fashion consultant thought :) I'm not as brave as I used to be. Love the new batch of photos from your recent visit ♥
ReplyDeleteFab art today Valerie. Your ladies made me smile :)
ReplyDeleteSuper photos and your collage is pretty cool!
Hope you've had a good day. Gill x
Sabine
Love how you used your new stamp and the fashionable clothes you added for them to wear, I have to admit to smiling when I first looked. Its a fantastic page and as always I enjoyed seeing your photos.
ReplyDeleteYvonne xx
Cute Autumn ladies and a fabulously inventive tag. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous photos too. I really like the lady on the brick wall. Is that copper? hugs, tEResa
