Hi Everybody!
Hope you enjoyed you weekend, and here's wishing us all a good, new week. I had a good rest and enjoyed a lazy weekend, just what the doctor ordered, literally!
Today I am sharing another A3 mixed media face painting for my spring challenge at AJJ. I always enjoy seeing the yellows and purples of the first crocuses in spring, and this girl reminds me of these wonderful colours:
This evening we will also be celebrating Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party, so here a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang. I will be by to visit you later in the week, I have my heart examination on Tuesday, and don't know how I will be feeling afterwards, so please be patient with me. This is my ticket for the gathering, coffee tastes good everyday of the week!
Monday feelings:
Have a great day, take care
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Another beautiful painting. Hoping all goes well for you on Tuesday. Sending hugs. Anesha
ReplyDeleteThanks Anesha, have a great, new week!

ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, the flowers of sprngare gorgeous!
DeleteThat's a super journal entry, Valerie. Your painting is lovely and has the colors of spring. Thanks for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey.
ReplyDeleteThat is one BIG cup of coffee! It's definitely my size cup (grin).
Love the Monday funnies and of course, the photos of the magnolia blossoms are spectacular.
I forgot to mention I will link you to T tomorrow. Good luck with the tests on Tuesday, too.
DeleteThanks E. A cup that size looks great. No coffee at all today for me, so I'm drinking fennel tea till after the exam tomorrow. Not really my cup of tea! Thamks for linking me later to TsfT, I will be asleep by then! Hugs!
DeleteThat is a pretty lady in your art piece. Cute sleeping cat. Lovely spring flowers. Hope your heart examination on Tuesday goes well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy, have a great week, take care!
DeleteYour spring lady is beautiful Valerie.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a restful weekend.
Alison
Thansk Alison, take care, hugs!
DeleteLove your beautiful art piece, Valerie. It really captures the essence of spring!
ReplyDeleteHave a great week ahead!
Your lady in purple and yellow looks quite wonderful, Valerie, a real touch of spring. It won't be long before the crocuses are blooming all around here. We have had several above freezing days and there's lots of moisture in the ground, just what's needed to stimulate growth. I am glad to see that young man delivering your first cup of morning coffee. That will get you energized for the day. The situation in Ukraine continues to dismay me and the fact that one man can inflict this obscenity on the world surely means that our systems don't work. Refugees are starting to arrive in Canada and the stories they have to tell would make you weep. We are capable of sending rockets into deep space, yet we are unable to devise a system to ensure the security of the Earth. One psychopath in Russia could literally trigger the conflict that will send us all into oblivion. Yesterday Miriam and I spent a wonderful afternoon with birds, and when we came home we watched a You Tube Video with a marvellous performance by the Berlin Philharmonic of Beethoven's Violin Concerto conducted by Daniel Barenboim, with Yitzhak Perlman as the featured soloist. How can we create such beauty and still inflict such savagery? I am unable to understand it. It also struck me that there was a Jewish conductor and a Jewish violinist performing in a country where just a few years earlier they would have been slaughtered in the gas chambers, or perhaps lined up for the Einzatzgruppen, and now we have another Jew in Ukraine fighting for his life and the independence of his country. It is all sheer madness. Thank goodness for the solace of nature. Hugs and kisses, David
ReplyDeleteThe world is really in a pitiful state just now, It's so hard to understand why Putin is allowed to do what he wants and nobody tries to stop him. Musik with Daniel Barenboim and Yitzhak Perlman can only be good fr the soul. And it's god to see them playing here in Germany after all that happened. Im very sad and anggry at the happennings in the world today! It's good when we can find solace in music, nature art and other beautiful things. Stay safe, big hugs, Valerie
DeleteBeautiful post Valerie, Loving your page very much, I the spring blooms and thinkies. Hoping everything goes well with your heart examination-hugs Happy T and new week
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy, I will update you all as soon as I can. Hugs!
DeleteLovely photos, Valerie. I LOVE spring flowers. And your painting is perfect. What a beautiful lady you made. Yellow-purple is a favorite color combo. Hugs, my friend.
ReplyDeleteThanks Mia. Yellow and purple are colours that make my heart sing. Have a great week, hugs, Valerie
DeleteThis lady does remind me of crocuses too, and spring. I like her. She could also be the leader of a group in a sci-fi show, with those stars and that lovely hair. She is really perfect. And that big cup of coffee is surely what many people need to start their week with-smile- and perfect for T. I had to laugh at the polar bear photo. That's how I feel this AM for some reason. And beautiful spring flowers too. Just the ticket for a Monday. Have a wonderful start to the week and I HOPE all goes well Tuesday. I'll be thinking of you. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika, Ive been feeling like that polar bear lately! Glad you like my girl, she was fun to make! Happy T Day, hugs!

DeleteBeautiful flower photos! We really miss the spring season. It was heavy snowing in whole weekend. Monday was sunny but weather was so cold. Thanks for the warm photos. Greetings
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the photos! Have a great week!
DeleteBeautiful face painting, you've done it again! she is amazing. Gorgeous photos too. Loving the photos and all the signs of spring. It is very noticeable that no one collects birds eggs any more as we rarely used to see Magpies and now they are everywhere, sometimes I see as many as ten all together in the trees behind our garden. Hope everything goes well for you tomorrow. Hugs, Angela xXx
ReplyDeleteThanks Angela. We have Lots of magpies and crows here, they always wake me up!
DeleteThe painting is beautiful and the sentiment is just lovely. I see that there are a lot of signs of spring in your area, the Rhein was always said to have a milder climate when I was living in Germany and we would go there in the spring just to experience some nicer weather. I grew up in the Sauerland which has a lot of rain and rather cold winters.
ReplyDeleteTrue, this is a very mild area. Sauerland is much colder.
DeleteA very lovely painting. I love her blue hair.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are SO pretty. It looks like Spring has visited you.
I am totally on board with that bear when Monday comes around.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Thanks, Mondays are always hard!
DeleteYour spring lady is absolutely delightful!! Lovely photos, and finally things are springing up here too:) All the best regarding your tests this week. be well, and happy T day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Linda, spring is a wonderful time!
DeleteGreat Spring photos. I love the polar bear one. LOL I agree, purple and yellow say Spring. Great mixed media piece. Happy T Day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon, that bear has got it right!
DeleteShe is beautiful and I love her hairstyle. Thanks for beautiful blossoms. Glad you had a rest, good luck at doc's. V xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Vee, hugs!
DeleteWhat a lovely portrait, you have got the painting of a nose, which I find difficult, absolutely bang on here. That is some gorgeous face you have painted. Love the idea of using the colours of crocus. What a delight it is to see them peeking their heads above the ground after a dull winter. To see them and then the yellow daffodils is lovely.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good rest and hope it did the trick.
Hugs, Neet xx
Thanks Neet, I know what you mean about noses! Have a great day!
DeleteI now think of Ukraine whenever I see yellow and blue together.
ReplyDeleteWe need to pray for the Ukraine.
DeleteSuch a beautiful page, your lady is such a beauty and I love the spring colours you used 😁. The polar bear made me smile! I hope all goes well today with your examination, take care and Happy T Day wishes! Hugs Jo x
