TGIF

Hi Everybody!

It's Friday, the weekend is coming, and that's always good, even for those of us who are retired and have weekend all week - it still feels different!

Today I am sharing another piece inspired by a taster session  from Eris Klein.  Her piece was a beautiful wreath, mine is rather different to put it mildly. I wasn't happy with it, but it is as it is - my new mantra! As it is full of the colours of October I am also linking to Tracey's challenge at AJJ:

Then I magicked it into my graphics programme again and added a few embellishments:

These cards were inspired by the 'encouragement cards lesson from Shay Michelle. Mine are very simple, water-colour cards with washi tapes from Jane Davenport and some words from a freebie sheet by Autumn Clark:

I am also linking to Paint Party Friday:

Some autumn views:

And a few funnies:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Love your take on Eris's wreath, i've seen her create these before and always amazed how each drop seems to drip in just the right area, she's an incredible artist. I'm hoping to create my own this month, it's pencilled in. Love your painted toadstools, it's a very happy scene held within it.
Beautiful photo's again, you always show the best of each season.. but now work calls, catch up with you over the weekend. Happy PPF Tracey xx

  12. There is a lot of colour in your piece this morning, Valerie. I think you gave free rein to your kaleidoscopic dreams with this one. Yesterday was warm and sunny here, an amazing 21.5 degrees, and when we went for a walk the fall colours were stunning. I am sure that you would have been inspired in a thousand different ways. There were lots of fungi in the forests here too, much of it looking similar to those you show above. My ability to identify them has improved somewhat of late, but it is still a difficult taxon for the uninitiated. You have to know the gill structure and other esoteric features. But, I am happy to be able to put a name to some of them. There were birds everywhere and chipmunks were scurrying, gathering winter stores. It was a lovely day to be outside sharing a delightful fall day with other creatures. I hope your weekend will be balmy and pleasant. Hugs and kisses. David

  13. Hi David. Hmm, kaleidoscopic dreams sound nice! Glad you had some good weather yesterday and were able to enjoy a great walk. Our weather was bad yesterday, but today it's cold and sunny, and I enjoyed a lovely walk along the Rhine and through our town and market, too. I am always amazed at how quickly fungi grow. I only know the names of a few, that's enough. I would never rely on my judgement to pick and eat them! They look better where they are! How lovely to see chipmunks, we don't have them here. Perhaps you can send some over with the geese? I hope I can get out for another walk this afternoon if the weather stays so pleasant. Have a great Friday, hugs, Valerie
