Hi Everybody!
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Here the weather was cold, but with some blue skies on Saturday, and dry enough to go for good walks, and I made the most of it! It's a lovely time of year to be out and about through the fields and woods, and I enjoyed it very much .
Our challenge at Tag Tuesday is being hosted this time by our lovely Michele, and she has chosen All Hallow's Eve as her challenge so it's time to get out your broomsticks and cauldrons and magic some wonderful tags for it. As always our challenge runs for 2 weeks and tags of all formats are welcome! In my tag I have lots of colourful ideas in my head and am ready for the witching night. Our challenge goes live at 9 pm:
And I have a mixed media journal spread in autumn colours which I am linking to
Tracey's October colours challenge at
AJJ:
This evening we will also be celebrating
Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday link party, so here a warm welcome to all of the T Gang who visit here. My drink is, as always, coffee, and I have a picture of the huge coffee calendar I bought. The Dentist charged less than I was expecting, so I went straightaway to the book shop and bought my HUGE calendar. Yesssssssss!
And I can offer you a slice of plum and almond crumble and a cup of cappuccino:
The repairs on the street are still ongoing. Lots of broken pieces which have been removed:
They are digging out a trench through the middle of the road for the drainage pipes:
They still have a long way to go!
Some photos from my walks:
Here you can see the garbage containers - blue is for paper, yellow is for tins and plastic, and black is for everything else. Some people also have ones with a brown lid, and they are for things which can be composted:
And some memes:
Congratulations to all who are still there at the end of this loooong post!
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Pie looks mouth watering.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Thanks Dora, have a great week!
DeleteHi Valerie, beautiful post-your art is always amazing, I am soooo happy to read you were able to get the coffee calendar you have been wanting-so fun, and we need to pick up treats for ourselves once in awhile.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos too, wow that has been a massive sewer project-thinking the workers will be happy to see it completed-do they think they can finish before winter settles in?
Your crumble looks so delicious-love the idea of the slivered almonds on top too Happy T wishes and new week ahead hugs Kathy
Thanks Kathy. am happy with my new calendar! They have about 15 metres finished, so another 45 to go - it will take time! Crumble with almonds is lovely, so crunchy! Have a great, new week, hugs!
DeleteSo glad you got your calendar! Lovely art today and your dessert looks so good!
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, I'm happy too! Have a great week! Hugs!
DeleteOh gosh how adorable is this post, fun, adventurous, the lot is always fabulous. . xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Annie, happy new week! Hugs!
DeleteHi Val, good morning! I hope you are doing well and I wish you a great week. Your Art and photos are wonderful, as always. Hugs from us all! Sarah
ReplyDeleteHi Sarah, you have a great week, too. Hope you are all well and heathy! Hugs to all!
DeleteThose are great art pieces. Sure, would love a slice of your plum and almond crumble and a cup of cappuccino, please. Looks so yums. I wish we have those recycle bins in my area. Beautiful photos from your walk. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy. The recycling bins are a great idea indeed. The crumble is vers delicious! Hugs, Valerie
DeleteLovely art pieces again Valerie, I too would like a slice of your plum and apple crumble, it sounds wonderful. We had a recycle bin, rubbish bin and green waste bin, there is some rumbling in the council that we might get a glass bin too! You have great places to walk.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue. It's great to recycle. We have huge containers in various places for glass and old clothes, with different bins for green, clear and brown glass. Have a great week!
Deletei enjoy every photos that you've shared dear...
ReplyDeletealmond scrumble, a cup of cappuchino...and the scenery around the house...
the meme makes me smile aniway...have a good day ^^
Thanks so much, have a great day, too!
DeleteAs I always do, Esteemed Artiste Extraordinaire, Valerie, I skimmed through this post to get a general feel for it, before attacking the details. In this case, I went to to the kitchen and made a sandwich so that i would not go hungry on the long journey! Pardon me while I dust off the crumbs to tell you that you did a wonderful job; but you always do of course. I have no doubt that a reject of yours would be a magnum opus of mine. Yesterday, Miriam and I found an Eastern Screech Owl artfully camouflaged against a tree trunk, and it really made me wish that I had the skill to paint it. Someone like Robert Bateman, or Valerie-Jael Tups, would do wonders with it. Perhaps I will send you a photograph and you will render it, oil on canvass, for the Balconia gallery of fine arts. The audience will be in awe. Since it's an owl we don't even need to get consent or pay royalties. Think of the exquisite brands of coffee you will be able to buy, and coffee calendars to adorn the back of every door. A new week is beginning. Enjoy it to the fullest. Hugs and kisses. David. PS - be careful not to fall in the hole in the road.
ReplyDeleteHi David. Glad you had time to eat your breakfast while perusing my post, great idea. I just got back from shopping with Wolfgang and bout myself a deliciously sticky cinnamon and raisin pastry, soooooooo good. Now I don't need any lunch, which is good. I have never heard of that owl, so please put it on your blog sometime! The men are back at work on their hole today, and it's closed off all round, so I would need a very big jump to climb over the fencing....I just enjoy watching it whilst walking by! It's nice weather here today, so I'm off for a walk to make the most of it! Have a great week, take care, hugs to you both!
DeleteHappy Monday Valerie. I am loving the new challenge at TIOT and your tag. My Halloween box is all over the floor-smile-so hopefully today I can make a few tags. And nice Autumn spread too. The couple looks so serious. and hurrah-you could get the calendar. I am very excited for you. That will be a good pick me up in 2022. The images look like they are lots of fun! And I'll take a piece of your almond crumble baking too-with tea please. Your china cup looks so pretty with your cappuccino. Perfect for T day. And enjoy the pretty colors. We've had some wind and now we have some bare trees. But still a lot of color. At least for now. I hope you have a wonderful T day and happy start to the new week. And like the owl in your meme, have some laughter too. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika, Halloween is always a fun theme, I will look forward to seeing your tags! Yes, I'm happy with the calendar, the pictures inside re all poster size, really fabulous. Take a big piece of cake, there's plenty there, and I have Earl Grey tea for visitors. Have a wonderful we Hugs!ek, how's the porch coming along?
DeleteThat tag is marvelous, Valerie. The witch's hat fits perfectly on "your" head. Love the magic of it all, and love that its almost Halloween, too.
ReplyDeleteI love the double spread you created for Tracey's theme at AJJ. It is beautiful and so romantic in a somber sort of way. I love the little extras and how you incorporated the found words, too. Thanks for sharing it at AJJ. It's inspirational.
I'm SO glad you were able to get that calendar. I would have paid for it, if I could have found a way to get the money to you without going through customs. I hope the first T Tuesday of every month you will grace us with that month's calendar page (HINT!). It looks great even from the outside.
Love the idea of apple plum crumble to go with your cappuccino in that beautiful cup and matching saucer. Thanks for sharing it with us for T this Tuesday, along with your calendar, wonderful photos, and incredible art.
Speaking of photos, your "hole" has a long way to go. I'm amaze at the rust that is on those pipes. I just hope it didn't affect your water. It sure looks like a job, and I somehow doubt they will be finished before the snow flies!
Thanks Elizabeth! Glad you like the tag and journal page. And I am very happy with the calendar and will definitely show the pages at TsfT. The pipes are part of The pipes which lead to the sewers, but it has made us think of the fresh water we drink! Happy T Day, hugs!
DeleteI love your humorous Halloween art! Very clever! Love your beautiful environment, too. Very pastoral.
ReplyDeleteThanks Glenda, have a good week!
DeleteThat's my kind of witch. Wow there is a lot of work going on over there. Wonderful photos. I love the back side of the old women.
ReplyDeleteThanks Nicole, have a great day!
DeleteGreat photos 😊 have a nice day 😊
ReplyDeleteThanks Martyna, enjoy your week!
Deleteso amazing art:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy!
DeleteSo much to look at today. the tag is just wonderful especially Ink at the bottom. Your dishes are so pretty and the crumble looks amazing. There's construction going on at my house too, though our construction shouldn't take more than a couple of days. Out of all the photos you took, I like the street light shadow on the wall the best. Happy T Day
ReplyDeleteThanks CJ, I Love that shadow, too. Have a great week!
DeleteWow! What amazing photos. And I loved the tag.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, have a great week!
DeleteYes to both the crumble and cappuccino I can not remember the last time I went into a cafe for either :( I'm sat enjoying your October pages and the glorious texture you create, many lovely Autumn themed layers.. Thanks so much for joining me again. Hugs Tracey xx
ReplyDelete.. Love that Halloween tag too x
Thanks Tracey, they were both delicious! Have a wonderful day!
DeleteThe tag is wonderful - I love what you did here! Great theme for Tag Tuesday and very timely! I like your art journal spread, too. If I can somehow squeeze it is I try to join this month's AJJ - after all, October is my favorite month. Your photos are beautiful as always - I so enjoy to see your pictures. The garbage bins have changed since we lived there - we didn't have the yellow and blue one for paper and recycables. We still had the Gelber Sack and the paper was brought to the Altpapiercontainer or Altpapiersammlung. Here we have three - blue for recycables, green for compostable and black for everything else. There is still way too much trash... So today's favorite photo is the one of the street light with its shadow. So pretty. Have a great week, Valerie.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carola, October is really a wonderful month. The street light with the shadow is my fave, too. Have a great day!
DeleteA lovely looooooooong post :)
ReplyDeleteI was hoping your road may be repaired by Christmas, but I'm not too sure, there seems to be a lot of work to do.
That crumble and cappuccino look lovely.
All the best Jan
Thanks Jan, They say the road should (might?) be finished by February! Have a great day!
DeleteGreat Halloween tag art but I especially love the October inspired journal page- just lovely.
ReplyDeleteYay, you got your coffee calendar!!
That cup and saucer holding your cappuccino is such a beautiful pattern. Construction, a must but yes it can be a long process along with being noisy and dirty. On the flip side, I love all the splashes of fall color in your photos:) Happy T day!
Thanks Linda, I'm very happy about that calendar, too! There's more colour from day to day! Have agreat one!
DeleteI am so glad that you were able to purchase the coffee calendar. Your crumble and cappuccino look delicious!
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures around your village.
Lovely art this week.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
Thanks Kate, the crumble was more than delicious, my neighbours enjoyed it, too. Have a great week!
DeleteOh, that plum crumble looks delicious! And so does the cappuccino. I am so sorry they are still working on the street. I hope it means they are doing a good job. I enjoyed your photos and funnies. Happy T Day.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon. They are doing a good job on the road, but it will take a looooong time! Happy T day!
DeleteAnother great post Valerie, love the funnies, especially the ladies!!
ReplyDeleteWe have communal trash bins, I like it as we can drop off our recyling or trash whenever we want.
I love the delicious looking plum crumble with the nuts, I made a strawberry crumble over the weekend with coconut as my husband doesn't like it with nuts.
Lovely photos from your walk, sorry to see the road is still work in progress!!!
Happy T Day
Jan
Strawberry crumble with coconut sounds delicious, might have to try it out! Happy T day! Have a great week, take care, hugs!
Deleteyour tags are great as usual. Halloween is that time of year where you can use certain colour combinations.
ReplyDeleteOh that calendar is wonderful. I'm sure you will show us the pages in the appropriate months to come.
yes, I'll join you for that piece of crumble. Looks delicious.
I see the work on the road is continuing. By the looks of those old pipes, it is a good thing they are replacing all the drains and conduits etc. Here in our little street they are doing the same.As they have the street open, they are replacing the drains. So it is still a mess, and worse, every. morning we get woken up by a digger outside our window!
As always I enjoyed the photos of your walk. The weather has been nice, I see.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
Hi Lisca! Thanks for your comment. We have had some lovely days, but today it's cold, grey and wet - good weather to enjoy being at home! The calendar is great, Eacg page has a poster size picture on it, I'm so happy I could buy it, although I still feel guilty for spending so much on something that isn't really necessary! I don't usually here the noise of he building site, as my flat is on the other side of the building! Have a great week in spite of road repairs, keep healthy! Hugs!

ReplyDeleteValerie, such a great post.
ReplyDeleteCool Haloween Tag - love that you have three witches and some cool texture along with some great colors.
Your AJJ spread is wonderful. Invokes so many thoughts. Such great images and words!
Your pictures are all so interesting. Even the garbage is interesting where you are. So glad the Denist was cheaper than you imagined and you could get the calendar guilt free. Yummy looking dessert and coffee! Such a treat!
Happy T-day and hugz
Hi Nancy! Glad you like the tag and journal page. The lady in the photo was a person I looked after at the Old people's home. She had just got married. He managed to get her out of the country when the Nazis were deporting people, but she never saw him again, so sad. Happy T Day, Valerie
DeleteThat crumble looks delishhhhh.
ReplyDeleteLuv the tags. Nice photos
I am getting trouble trying to link in
My tag for today is HERE
Thanks Gillena, hugs!
DeleteA coffee calendar, how perfect! That crumble looks like a great breakfast :) Men working is always an encouraging sight. I hope everything works towards their progress.
ReplyDeleteMy crumble is good at any time!
DeleteLove love love all the photos and of course your painted pages and the tag. The Cuppuccino looks inviting, I hope that's chocolalate on the top! I love apple crumble the best and often make it when there's loads of apples fallen from next door. Love the coffe calender too! Have a great week!

DeleteGreat art and photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks Anne!
DeleteI am late calling in Valerie, I have enjoyed reading your post and seeing your wonderful art pages. Progress seems to be happening on the hole in the road, hope it gets sorted before the winter sets in.
ReplyDeletehug Yvonne xx
Thanks Yvonne. The hole won't be finished till February at least! Have a great day!
DeleteLove the Halloween tag even though Halloween isn't a favourite time for me! The journal spread is fabulous. So pleased you could go and buy the calendar - I'll look forward to seen the larger pics. Oh my, that hole is huge now they have removed the broken bits - it looks as though it's going to take a while to complete the work. Super Autumn pics. Your cappuccino and crumble slice look so enticing. Belated Happy T Day, Hugs, Chrisx
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris! That crumble was wickedly enticing! Have a happy week, hugs!
DeleteOoh, what are the nuts on top of your crumble, it looks so delicious!
ReplyDeleteLove the tag, I do like looking at Halloween "makes" that people do and this tag is lovely and bright.
Great journal page too, I love the way you use pait - you so often get beautiful texture in the way you apply it and you know I love texture.
This is a great day with all these wonderful things - and the funnies are so much fun!
;Hugs, Neet xx
Thanks Neet, I used chopped almonds. The texture in the journal page came from always adding more paint - I leave the journal open and smear left over paint on it till it's a background! Glad you like the funnies! Hugs!
DeleteGreat post Valerie, I love your autumn spread!
ReplyDeleteAlison
Thanks Alison, have a great day!
