Hi Everybody!
Hope your week got off to a good start. I have been busy watching the Lifebook taster sessions and doing some of the classes and these are the ones I have finished till now. I got some more done today, but it was too dark this afternoon to take photos. The sun came out for a few minutes before it got dark and gave me some nice evening sky photos.
The colourful cow from Cinnamon Cooney (which I showed in detail last week):
This was the lesson 'art for my heart' from Eulalie Mejia - collage which was then partly painted over to reveal the heart and corners, and then doodled:
Art Love Notes from Kim Dellow - mark making, and then cutting shapes to use as little cards:
Of course, I had to fill my head!
This was one of Tamara's lessons called Focus on Love. I changed the colours here and used autumn colours instead of Tam's pretty pinks and blues so I could link to Tracey's 'My favourite colour is October' challenge at AJJ. This took a long time, as I need to rest my fingers in between but they get too shaky, but I enjoyed making it:

Evening:
And some memes:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

DeleteLove the colourful cow and the lady with fall colours. Lovely skies. My favourite is the last one. I won't blame the dryer, I blame the lockdown for my tight pants. Lol!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy! This lockdown has cost us a lot of calories!

DeleteI was that cat the other day. I swear my jeans had shrunk more than usual in the wash.
ReplyDeleteLovely work, and what a lot of it - and all so varied too - you look as if you are enjoying these Lifebook Lessons. Your girl with the red hair is fabulous - love those golden tones you have used to incorporate October into your work.
Hugs, Neet xx
Thanks Neet. My jeans sometimes shrink in the closet! The LB lessons are great, but time and energy consuming, so I'm not doing housew*rk this week! Have a wonderful day, hugs!
DeleteYou put your shaky fingers to good use, Valerie. Damn those tremors though; that must be about the worst thing for a crafter, short of losing an arm. It is remarkable what you have created, and the deep oranges of fall are vibrant and appealing. Miriam's daughter, husband and two children will be here for Thanksgiving on Monday, so I expect that orange will be the featured colour in the house that day. Pumpkin pie is the traditional dessert for Thanksgiving, but I think I will buy one this year. There is a local store called the Sweet and Savoury Pie Company, and they bake on the premises. Their pies are equal to home baked, at least to my taste. I know that some families have a "secret ingredient", or something that distinguishes their pies from others, and obviously makes them superior, but I think all of that is a little overdone. I'll be happy with my slice from the store. Two days ago Miriam made a chicken pot pie with a crust that is like cornbread, instead of the traditional pastry. It is quite delicious, and there was enough for two nights with some still left over. Damn that we don't live close, Valerie. I would bring it over and it would be a tasty dinner for you. I know you would enjoy it. This morning we are walking with Heather and Lily. I have lots of pictures from the last two walks so I should post something soon. Many hugs and even more kisses. David
ReplyDeleteThanks David, it's like being back in the 1960s - shake, rattle and roll! I do breathing exercises in between and listen to audio books, which helps to keep me calm and collected! Pumpkin pie sounds great, it's unfortunately not available in the stores here, and I won't make one just for myself because I would end up eating it all. And your chicken pot-pie with cornbread filling sounds fabulous. I wish I lived nearer, too. Have fun with Lily and Heather, and show the photos soon, it's so lovely to see how Lily is developing and growing. Thanks for the hugs and kisses, too - sending some back to you. Enjoy your day!
DeleteFun art and your Autumn girl looks so wistful. Lovely sky photos, too. You get such amazing colors. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteThanks CJ. I love the colours of the skies here. Have a great day!
DeleteI am loving today's art Valerie. You made some wonderful pieces. I like the idea of the black paint over the colors, leaving just a shape exposed. My favorite is the head with the doodles on it. Very cool. I hope you're feeling well and having some more art fun today. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika, it's fun to try new things here and there. My head is always full of doodles! Have a great e!
