Quick Saturday Post

Hi Everybody!

Have a great weekend, enjoy and stay safe!

Today I am sharing a tag made for Pinkie's 'flowers' challenge at Tag Tuesday. I used lots of scraps to make it:

And I have some photos taken in our neighbouring town of Duisburg:

A reminder of the history of coal mining there:

Have a great Saturday, take care,

and thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. Fabulous tag Valerie. The swan in her pink skirt bring thought of the Swan Queen and ballet. Maybe I should have called it a tutu. And nice photos too. I love the colorful cow. I see coal has been replaced with more modern power. Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs-Erika

    1. Thanks Erika. Yes, I was thinking of the ballet when I gave it a tutu! That cow is gorgeous, I would like it on my balcony, but then it would be very full! Have a great day, hugs!

  2. Your tag is lovely. The flowers are perfect for the background, and the swan is beautiful with pink wings. Nice way to use leftovers.

Duisburg is lovely. I enjoyed the cow, the architecture, and the coal sculpture. Of course, the flowers were lovely, too. Hope all is well in your world, dear.

    1. Thanks Elizabeth. No more catastrophes here just now. Our road is still closed to traffic, but it will have to stay that way till it's repaired. Hugs!

  8. A gracious swan sailing into my morning is about as good as it gets, Valerie. I suspect that your brief entry this morning is a consequence of not feeling well, and I am sorry that your return to tip top form seems to be eluding you. I think I need to bring Lily over and sit her on the cow for some great pictures. Maybe you would even sit there with her. I know I promised to be on my best behaviour after the last time I SHOCKED you, but that can only last so long. I have been reviewing a book for PUP on Edward Lear, the great British wildlife painter and humourist, and I started dabbling with limericks. With apologies in advance, I simply cannot resist sharing this one with you.

    A Balconia lady named Valerie
Paid an afternoon visit to the gallery.
    She gazed at the art,
    Then made a loud fart.
They escorted Valerie out of the gallery.

With that, I send you hugs and kisses for the entire weekend. David

    1. Thanks for the laugh, I laughed so much it almost came true, except that I'm not at a gallery, just by Valerie. I feel honoured that you made a limerick for me! That's a coincidence with the limericks because I just dug out a little book with limericks I made so I can use it for my next 2nd on the 2nd post. I loved the works of Lear, and still do. I'm not really feeling tippy toppy today, but life has its ups and downs, and sometimes more downs than we want, c'est la vie! My daughter used to say 'Sellerie' instead of c'est la vie, too funny! I'm sure Lily would love to sit on that cow, I suppose all kids would. Apart from that I'm having a rest day, lots of feet up, music and reading. I'll be back tomorrow with another post for a challenge that starts on the first on the month. Have a great Saturday, hugs to you both!
