Hi Everybody!
First I would like to wish all my friends in the USA a happy July 4th. I know it's only the third today, but the good wishes will keep till tomorrow - hope you all have a wonderful day with family and friends and enjoy your long weekend!
Today I have another tag for my vintage challenge at Tag Tuesday. I used some corrugated card painted with gold for the background, and added an image from Gecko Galz. Some lace and flowers were added as an embellishment, and some words from TH for the sentiment
Some photos from my walks:
Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

DeleteGood morning High Priestess Valerie: Here you go with the secret incantations again! An image from Gecko Galz and words from TH. Now only the initiated, those who have completed the rites can understand what that means. These are secret codes with hidden meanings to match QAnon and other wild conspirators! In any event the results are delightful, though no doubt containing hidden messages to baffle the uninitiated and uplift the true believers! As for the pictures, they are, as is always the case, a wonderful array of the charms of your area, but the best one in this batch is without doubt that of the Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo). Thought I would toss in the scientific name just to prove that I am not devoid of esoteric incantations myself. Maybe I should set them to music. A modern day Gregorian chant about birds. i shall call the singers Darwin's Choir. The weekend has arrived, the ice cream is churned, the iced coffee awaiting your lips. Enjoy! Hugs and kisses. David
ReplyDeleteHi David, One of these days I might just write a dictionary of crafting abbreviations for the uninitiated, I'm sure it would be success among those living in the far flung corners of the earth! I just don't think I have the speed or strength these days to start any conspiracies, those days are past! There are always cormorants - sorry - Phalacrocorax carbo - hanging out by the Rhine. They like to sit up high and then dive into the water and come up with a fish for their meal, hard for the fish but good for the cormorant, that's life. I have some CDs with Gregorian chants - which I like very much, I'll have to see how the bird names fit it! I'm having a restful day today, and enjoying it. I've got books to read and coffee to drink, so it will be enjoyable! Have a great weekend, hugs to you and Miriam!
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty and romantic tag. Oh, that blue sky in the first picture. The Quo Vadis boat made me smile. Quo Vadis. Where Are You Going? We're not going anywhere this weekend as it's raining and cold. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteSome of the boats have wonderful names! I'm not going anywhere this weekend, it's humid and storms are on their way. Good weather for feet up and reading! Enjoy weekend!
DeleteThat's a beautiful tag Valerie, very feminine and pretty! :) I love the photos, it looks like a nice summer there! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Rain. Summer comes and goes, the weather is very changeable! Have a great weekend!
DeleteThose blue skies! and then those sunset (sunrise?) clouds. Nature's colors are delightful :)
ReplyDeleteThanks - sunrise clouds. My apartment has wonderful view of the rising sun every day! Nature is the best artist!
DeleteThanks for the JUly 4th wishes Valerie. That is a wonderful vintage tag. I like the gold on the cardboard. I have 2 tags scheduled for next week which I will share. Just for some suspense for you-smile. HOpe your weather is nicer than ours for this long weekend. But what can you do about it? Have a great weekend yourself. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika, I always love cardboard and gold! Now I won't be able to sleep for wondering about the tags! Our weather is hot and humid and we once again have storms on the programme. Today I'm having a feet up and reading day, lovely!! Hugs!
DeleteGreat photos! That third one looks like it might be a critter hidey hole in the rocks doesn't it?
