Hi Everybody!
It's time for Paint Party Friday again, hosted as always by Eva and Kristin.
I am sharing 2 more mixed-media double pages from my 'new' journal.
I am really having fun just doing what I feel like, using up scraps, trying out colours etc. I am also linking to Moo Mania and more, floral.
The last 2 days started off with lots of clouds and a little sunshine, which
soon disappeared.
On my walk yesterday I saw this collection of bottles, very neatly arranged on the wall round a tree by the Basilica - the mind boggles! Was it the vicar?
Was it people from the assisted housing for the elderly? Or just a few naughty youngsters who tried not to leave a mess? We will probably never know!
Today a neighbour brought me a beautiful bunch of flowers to thank me for
taking in her parcels, as she is mostly not there when the post-man comes. I
take in parcels for the whole house, and do it gladly, but it was lovely
to get such a wonderful surprise:
Today was a little warmer, the sun came out here and there, and blue skies and clouds were both trying to get a winning hand:
Tomorrow I will be showing the beautiful pages I got from Elizabeth
in a swap she has organized, so come and have a look!
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Love your fun and beautiful journal pages, both are gorgeous. Wonderful photos, too, I wonder why those bottles are there?? Good night, hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pages Valerie and the first spread is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteLovely pics too and lucky you to have such lovely gifts for your kindness.

Lovely pages for PPF Valerie! And what a beautiful gift of flowers. Enjoyed your photos today, including those mysterious bottles!
ReplyDeleteI really love your pages Valerie. Your fun is really coming through. And that is interesting about those lined up bottles. I think maybe it was a couple of people who sat there and were talking for hours. Maybe a romantic meeting. And while they were talking they were lining up their bottles. I guess my story is as good any any. Happy PPF. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI am drooling over that first entry. I would give anything to make beautiful art that seems so carefree and loose as yours. I am in awe.
ReplyDeleteThe second entry had me laughing, and I think you took a photo of me. I've often said I have no neck, therefore I definitely identified with the gal and her unique lopsided perspective.
Your neighbor was really grateful apparently, because that bouquet of flowers was really lovely. So good that she was so thoughtful.
Loved the bottles. What a unique thing to leave around and so artsy, too! Have a super day, and I can't wait to see those photos after the tip-ins made their way across the pond.
Such great journal pages... so free and pretty...glad you enjoy playing lately! Very pretty flowers...so nice to be appreciated like that! Good job and good photos too! Funny about those bottles!!

ReplyDeleteYou can feel the fun in these pages Valerie-great that you are enjoying making them so much.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to get the flowers and they do look unusual.
Great photographs today as always and the bottle one will get all of us thinking. I image it was quite a party lol and involved all of the ones you mentioned.
Love Chrissie xx
glad you're having so much fun with your unthemed journal pages - it's clear you're enjoying the looser style. What are those little bottle - are they shots of liquer? the mind certainly does boggle!
ReplyDeleteFabulous pages Valerie and beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteIt's so nice to be appreciated by neighbours, last night my neighbour gave me the most delicious strawberry cake to apologise for the noise and disruption her builders are making whilst building her extension.
and when those tulips open...aaah! beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe have lovely day today, sunny. This weekend is a huge celebration of spring here in Finland, like a carnival.
Creative art works and creative life, thank you for sharing!

ReplyDeleteThese pages have such a wonderful loose quality to them, and I especially LOVE the imagery in the first one! You must tell us if you find anything out about the bottles-very mysterious indeed. Another lovely day to enjoy a walk along the Rhine again... happy PPF!

ReplyDeleteHugs
What beautiful springtime photos!! Love your journal pages they are so pretty and springlike.
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF
Outstanding spreads today, Valerie. I love the pinks, flowers and lady you included on the first spread. "Out of Proportion" brings to mind how we exaggerate or imagine events way out of proportion. Interesting bottle display. Fun times for someone! I like the stormy photos and hope the sun shines for you this weekend. Lovely flower bouquet with interesting blooms.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
C
Wonderful journal pages Valerie, the out of proportion lady is very imaginative. I so wonder if she made a new start. Such a lovely neighbour you have, the flower bouquet is so beautiful. Love the photos too. Happy PP Friday!
ReplyDeleteI really like your use of mulitmedia!
ReplyDeleteThe photo of the pasture and all of the gorgeous green grass and leaves is so stunning against the blue and white cloudy sky!
Awesome journal spreads, they are both fantastic and you can see when looking that you had a great time creating them. Lovely photos as well.

Love the art today ♥ Great photos too and that bouquet of flowers is quite lovely. We have much cooler weather here the past few days too and lots of clouds and rain. I've been dashing out between showers to either plant something or pull a weed before it too out of control.
ReplyDeleteI love the journal pages, the yellow is my favorite :oD
ReplyDeleteAnd those bottles, that's how I like mine! hahaahaha
Wonderful post today with delightful pictures. Whoever left the bottles had an intentional design - quite lovely.
ReplyDeleteYou journal spread is gorgeous - love all the images you chose and the colors you used.
