Hi Everybody!
Autumn Mood
Projects of all formats are allowed, not just moos, and as always, you have 2 weeks to get your creative juices flowing and join us. That should be really easy with the colours of autumn all around us.
I made a giant (12") tag. I used an image from Alfons Mucha, centred it on the tag, and painted the edges with a mix of Vivacolor rust and gold. As his painting is very extravagant, I decided to add some flakes of gold leaf in various autumnal colours along the right side. For the embellishments I used natural leaves which I embossed with Utee gold and Frantage copper, some seed pods, and a few scraps that were flying about my table.
For Art Journal Journey, architecture, I made an A3 mixed media journal page with a haunted house. The house, tree and fence are TH die cuts. The witch and bats have been drawn in black ink, as has the tree. Perhaps you are looking for a house to buy? This one is available!
The Photos were all taken on Sunday in Kettwig, a jewel of a town on the Ruhr, the river which gives its name to the Ruhr Valley. I am linking the collage to Wen's Simply Neutrals
Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Oh my. The tag is beautiful and the Halloween journal page....what fun. Even a house for sale:)
ReplyDeleteI've instantly fallen in love with Kettwig! Such a beautiful old town. Both your pieces of art today are grand, however, I must say I have fallen head over heals for your Autumn one. It's absolutely GORGEOUS! Your house is fun and I love the tree full of hands, but as you say, I wouldn't want to stop there. lol. hugs, Donna
ReplyDeleteNo, I wouldn't either - although the company might be fun!

Your tag is very colorful, and beautiful in an autumn way. The lady is gorgeous, too.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the house that's for sale. I would love to buy it, but I'm afraid it's a little more than I can tackle at the moment. It's a genuine gem, though, with the spooky tree watching over it, and the spiders and bats that inhabit it.
Kettwig is gorgeous, and the photos you took go well with that challenge. Happy Wednesday.
Such a wonderful collage of photographs Valerie and a great idea to show them in that way.
ReplyDeleteTerrific tag with the special colours and images for Autumn.

ReplyDeleteHow fun is that house for sale page. I love how bright your background is-it really makes the images POP! I wonder what kind of ghoul is going to want to buy it? Your tag is also so pretty.Did you paint those leaves or emboss them? I think they looks so pretty that way!
ReplyDeleteThey were embossed with Utee.

ReplyDeleteI am fascinated by your haunted house. The tree looks quite friendly, maybe it's the witch's house?
ReplyDeleteI love the way you have edged the picture with purple and the spider's web in the window, and the fence gives the whole picture a good depth.
