Hi everybody!
Today started off again with a wonderful sunrise, but turned very cloudy later on, although it stayed dry, so I was able to enjoy my walk. In the evening it cleared again and I was able to watch the (almost) full moon rise.
I have finished off some journal pages which have been waiting again for a long time - better late than never. Here the pages were gessoed, painted with thinned down acrylics, and then doodled. I added some extra colour with pastels. I think I would like to see the sea again, that's something I miss here!
These were the photos taken this evening of the moon.
The black specks on the photo are wild geese flying home. The white spot on the left is a plane.
Have a great day, take care, and thanks a lot for coming by!
How fabulous are these pages Val. I love all the various colours you have put together. Have a Good Day my friend. Hugs Rita xxx
ReplyDeleteI love the journal pages, they are so bright and cheerful, and the doodled starfish are wonderful. Have a nice day, hugs, Sarah

Just beautiful work today! Love your sea pages, i must love the sea too. And gorgeous moonrise shots. Thanks for the treat.
ReplyDeleteLovely sea pages Valerie and the photos are beautiful too. It does look very very cold though! ~Diane
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky photos. The under the sea paintings are great, with that touch of longing for the sea. Makes me think of James Elroy Flecker's poem, "I must go down to the sea again, to the lonely sea and the sky …….." which we learnt as school - wow, 63 years ago and I still remember it! We were so lucky to learn poetry at school. I like the little note 'I want to be under the sea'. I want to ride a sea-horse as that lucky child at the top left is doing! Have a good Christmas, with happy days for you and yours.
ReplyDeleteHello Valerie, you are such a journalling genius, these underwater pages are terrific. I love your mermaid with the starry tiara.
ReplyDeleteI've just gone back to have another look and found someone riding a sea-horse, what an artistic imagination you have, and you can also draw and paint what you can imagine.
Thanks for the nice compliments, but the little boy on the sea-horse and the mermaid are stamps, and very pretty ones at that!
DeleteYou've captured the underwater style so well, love it, Annette x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pages. I too miss the sea being inland, there is a river but it not the same. Those photos are outstanding.
ReplyDeleteWe saw the beautiful full moon when we got up this morning, but I didn't get a photo. I love the under the sea pages as this is a favorite theme of mine. Great mermaid, too!
ReplyDeleteMagical under the sea pages, love the sea creatures. Super photos again.

Beautiful under the sea pages, and I love the photos! Hugs, Barb
ReplyDeleteNow you have me singing - "under the sea, under the sea, things are much better, things are much wetter, under the sea!"
ReplyDeleteBeautifully pained as usual. Hark - I think your little mermaid might be pregnant. Are you expecting little mermaids?
Beautiful pictures Valerie - I really am glad you told me what that white speck is!!!
Swimming merrily along -
Sandy
Yes, it does look like she's expecting some merbabies soon!
DeleteWonderful fluidity to your pages and I like the inclusion of the CC mermaid.
ReplyDeleteFestive Wishes
