Good morning you all. Today is Paint Party Friday, hosted by Kristin and Eva, and the last one before Christmas.
I had my last visit to the dentist yesterday. He was very satisfied, so I was happy to hear that, and will be happy not to see him for a while, although he really is a good dentist, and a nice chap, too!
For Paint Party Friday I doodled some faces, eyes and mouths, using pen and ink and water colour pencils. I don't really know whay I painted it, it just happened, like so many things!
Here's wishing you all a good day. Hope you have now all finished your preparations, and have some time for a breather. Take care of yourselves, and thanks for visiting!
Lovely work, but somehow a little bit creepy.... Have a good day, and take care of yourself, Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool idea!! Love it!

Great art journaling. :) Happy Holidays! :)
ReplyDeletePretty potent stuff, Valerie. Good cleansing material and most interesting visually I might add. Take care of yourself today. hugs, Donna
ReplyDeleteFabulous pages Valerie.
ReplyDeleteHave a Wonderful Christmas.
xxx Hazel.
Your doodles pretty much sum up how i feel today!! Got a stinking cold!!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you Valerie :)
Hi Val,
ReplyDeleteGlad your trips to the dentist are coming to an end, it's good that he sounds so nice though, that always helps :)
Loving those faces, with lots of eyes and lips, I love to doodle and need to do it more often, maybe I will, once I get going on my smash books :)
I hope you have a really lovely Christmas Val. Not sure if you're interested, but Gina is starting a monthly tag swap on the DC forum, and some of the ladies have been asking if you could be persuaded to join in? it would be sooooo lovely to see you back, we miss you!! but not presure, ofcourse that's up to you ;)
I hope you have a fantastic Christmas and new year Val. Most of our Christmas prep is done now, phew! Baked two Christmas cakes last night, one for me to decorate (without interuption, lol!) and one for the kids to do. Will pop them on my blog soon.
I do however, have to make a dreaded trip into town later, as I have to bank some cheques, so not looking forward to finding parking and all the madness of shops two days before Christmas, hey ho, I'm sure it will be fine, at least that's what I'll keep telling myself, lol!
Hugs
Suzie xxx :)
Those faces are brilliant Val and yes the journalling is true of most women who celebrate Christmas today. Hope you have a good day. xx
ReplyDeleteBrilliant faces you created Valerie.
ReplyDeleteIn the middle of wrapping the final batch of presents ... yipee!!!
I hope to get on-line tomorrow but if not I will say to you now that I wish you a Merry Christmas. It can be a difficult time of the year for many and we all experience different Christmas days but whatever your plans I hope they are filled with lovely times, it is what you deserve.
Warmest wishes
Lynne
Beautiful eyes and lips Valerie (and yes, I'm feeling pretty shattered but then again that's what afternoon naps are for - hee, hee). Suze xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous eyes, Valerie! Hope your Christmas is special :)
ReplyDeleteThis one's fantastic, I really like it Valerie! I can imagine you've got to know your dentist really well by now, glad it's over.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! These are really great pages...so fascinating!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great creation. Really love how you divided into three's! Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting to see what comes out when we doodle. I like the little touches of color you added. Just the right amount.
ReplyDeleteYou really can draw lips and eyes beautifully and the colors are on target for the holiday season! Not sure I truly understand the symbolism, or if there is any, but I love what you've done. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Faye
ReplyDeleteI always love your journal pages. They are always so full of color and fun. Nice job. You too have a wonderful rest of the holidays season. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I LOVE the eyes - this has such a cool, unique feel to it - almost like they are in a house of mirrors! Really wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that the dentist went well and most importantly, I hope you have a beautiful Christmas! xoxoxo
Love the "Egyptian" eyes and the jewelry findings. I came down with a bad cold last Saturday, probably because I too was feeling "shattered" with still too much left to do. Have been in my pajamas ever since, except for visit to doctor and to pick up meds. I notice my body always tells me when to "Slow Down"!
ReplyDeleteYour faces are great, I love the eye brows, very stylised! Its very weird about your windmills of my mind journal page, because there is an advert on the tv at the moment with that song and as I was singing along to it I thought, 'that would make a good journal page, I must try that'!!!!I think your page looks fab!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful christmas and new year x
wonderful creativity and feeling i sometimes feel shattered and yet it is OK...no big thing...I can deal with it all by not worrying about it all.
ReplyDeletethat is what I got from this
