New Challenge at Art Journal Journey - Come Fly With Me

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at Art Journal Journey, and this time our lovely Alison, Aka Crafty Trog is our host. Her theme is  'Come fly with me'. Alison is looking forward to seeing anything that flies on your journal page, please read our blog AJJ for more details.  As always, you have the whole month to join us, and journal pages of all formats are welcome. Thanks to Matilde for hosting last month!

I have made a hybrid piece. Once again , my balcony blackbird is the star:




 And for Pinky's challenge at Tag Tuesday we need to use hot colours. The fruit image is from  Gecko Galz, the paper was painted by me:

    What a stunning first entry for Alison's theme. It is a really charming entry and I agree that your balcony bird takes center stage. I love how you have framed your bird in the circle. It looks like you sewed around the bird, too. That's the beauty of digital, I suspect. This is a charming hybrid entry for AJJ and Alison's theme.

    That is a lovely tag, too. I like how hot the cherries look. It is awesome.

    Enjoyed the funnies. Have one thing to add to the Men in denim thinkie. Men (and a woman) in robes are trying to destroy my country, or at least put us back into the 19th and 20th centuries.

Your land is being destroyed from the inside, and Europe goes for one crisis to the nex, not to mention that Dictator in Russia who wants to destroy everything and everbody who gets in his way.     Your balcony blackbird is always welcome to see Valerie. I like this page, and it's kind of dreamy. And nice hot tag. I am having trouble finding art time lately, but hopefully I'll be able to join in. Your funnies are great, and I agree with Elizabeth about men (and a woman) in robes trying to send us back to a time they think was better. Of course maybe again for only white males.       Thanks Carol. The blackbird was a little creature that I rescued many years ago, and he visited me for a long time after he was fit again! I use his photo in lots of things!

    I like how you staged your blackbird... joy of summer.
    Cherries are definitely the favorite now... we have a lot of cherry trees around, where you can have a wonderful snack and the cherry season is over quickly.

    Love the 'hot' colours of the tag but it is really the blues and greens that steal my heart What absolutely gorgeous shades of the two main colours you have achieved here, how I wish I could mix a blue and a green like those two when I am using paint,
    Love that the blackbird is the centre figure, I have a thin about blackbirds. We used to have one with a grey feather sticking out from his side. We had him for about four years and so hearing that blackbirds do not live that long I took it that they were of the same family.
