Today I have a hybrid piece for Alison's come fly with me challenge at AJJ. I put this together just using my own photos, which were digitally cut out and assembled, except the little blackbird n the bottom left corner:

DeleteMore of your magical mermaids. I do love your mermaids greatly. Their tails and fins remind me of those incredible Japanese fighting fish. The ones where the tails are just floating all light and colourful , ethereal behind the fish. Have a lovely day. Deb.

DeleteBirds and mermaids! This is the stuff of a happy man, Valerie. We have been back home since Monday evening but have been busy with one thing or another ever since, so please forgive me if I have neglected you a little. This morning I had a visit to the dentist, but other than that it has been a little calmer today. One of our caterpillars has pupated and the second one looks like it's not too far behind, and the American Robin is sitting on four eggs in the bush at the side of the house. Happy days! The bird drinking from the bottle cap reminds that I need to fill the bird bath so that water is always available. It tends to evaporate quickly during this hot weather and frequent top ups are necessary. Even rivers and ponds are drying up in the southwestern part of the continent where the heat is abominable. I just read a story about border guards in Texas pushing migrants back into the Rio Grande and refusing them water. Man's inhumanity knows no limits. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteHi David, I know there's always a lot to do before and after journeys, so don't worry. Hope all went well at the dentist, I need to go next week. I hope you make some pics of your caterpillars, it sounds very exciting! I loved the pic of the man giving the bird water, little things help! I always have water on my balcony and the Meisen ( Chikadees) like bathing in it. It was awful here with 34° last week, and I can't imagine how awful it must be for those with temps of 45° and more. Man's inhumanity to man is really awful! Have a nice afternoon, David, take care, hugs! xxxxx
